Chapter 93: It’s All Xia An’s Fault
“Is it really that serious?”
Watching Gu Ke, curled up in her chair with her hands covering her cheeks, Yi Ning rolled her eyes.
Just as Gu Ke couldn’t understand why Yi Ning was excited about interacting with her father, Yi Ning equally couldn’t grasp why Gu Ke cared so much about this incident.
“So what if the teacher scolded you? You didn’t even get punished. Plus, it looks like the principal actually likes that function—none of the stuff we installed has been dismantled.”
Yi Ning lay on the sofa, propping up her little head with one hand while casually waving the other.
She genuinely didn’t care.
Everyone was a villain—there was no such thing as “you’re a villain so no one else can do villainous things to you.”
If you’re ready to pull the trigger, you should also be prepared to get shot.
As a villain-in-training at Evil University, that was the mindset one had to have.
Gu Ke dropped her hands from her face and shot Yi Ning a glare.
As if that’s what she was upset about?
“You don’t actually think forcing me to press the launch button means I’m going to take the fall for you guys, do you?”
She scoffed at Yi Ning’s shallow thinking.
“Don’t even start with this accomplice nonsense. Even if I were the mastermind, you all would still be responsible for covering for me!”
That was the confidence of someone born into the household of an Evil Council founder.
As a rich heiress, her authority knew no bounds.
“Then what are you so upset about?”
Yi Ning was puzzled.
“I’m mourning for my younger self—for actually believing Xia An’s nonsense.”
Gu Ke turned her face away.
It was such an embarrassing memory that it took immense willpower just to say it aloud.
She had always suspected that Xia An was unreliable, yet she still fell into her trap in the end.
Yi Ning instantly understood.
“Now that I can relate to.”
Never believe anything Xia An says. Never trust any promise she makes.
That was one of the unspoken rules at Evil University.
But few could follow it.
Why?
Because Xia An was surprisingly talented at reading people.
She could effortlessly detect what tempted others most and where their bottom line lay.
And she had a face that inspired trust.
So even though everyone at school knew better than to trust Xia An, few could resist the irresistible offers she made.
Of those, Ji Ping was the top victim.
Constantly played like a fiddle by Xia An.
He got duped every day, each time in a new way.
Still, Xia An always managed to reward Ji Ping with something satisfying just when his patience was about to snap.
Now that Xia An had turned into a woman, dealing with a shy virgin like Ji Ping must have become even easier for her.
No wonder they were in cahoots yesterday, embezzling their share of funds and ending up in the hospital together…
Yi Ning couldn’t help but show a hint of sympathy.
“Poor Ji Ping, that unlucky kid.”
“Weren’t you the one who put him in the hospital?”
Watching the crocodile tears on Yi Ning’s face, Gu Ke couldn’t help but jab at her.
Naturally, Yi Ning wasn’t about to own up to it.
She raised her free hand and started shifting the blame.
“This is all Xia An’s fault!”
That’s right!
All Xia An’s fault!
Yi Ning nodded with conviction.
If Xia An hadn’t tried to lead Ji Ping in embezzling her funds, she would never have sent Ji Ping to the hospital.
So putting it all together—
Everything was Xia An’s doing!
Yi Ning was pure as ice and clean as jade!
“Yeah, yeah, it’s all Xia An’s fault.”
Gu Ke waved her hand and parroted her line.
Then she paused, as if remembering something, and put her hand to her chin, lost in thought.
After a moment, she looked back at Yi Ning, eyes gleaming with anticipation of drama.
“Speaking of which, ever since I turned into a girl, my allowance has gone way up.”
“So? What’s your point? Bragging?”
Yi Ning curled her lips.
“Of course not.”
Gu Ke narrowed her eyes and wagged a finger at her.
“I just wanted to let you know that my allowance has increased so much, I can’t even spend it all. So the share of funds I used to take from our budget—consider it all yours now.”
“I assume Xia An already told you?”
Gu Ke’s smile blossomed like a flower.
Of course she knew Xia An hadn’t told Yi Ning.
With her massive spending habits—especially while dating several girlfriends at once—Xia An was always scheming how to pinch some money from Yi Ning.
Coming into a windfall like this, there was no way she’d confess.
Sure enough—
Upon hearing Gu Ke’s words, Yi Ning sat up from the sofa, a savage glint flashing in her eyes.
She had thought the beating she gave Xia An would be enough to keep her in check. But that girl still dared to hide things from her.
The amount Gu Ke used to take wasn’t small—it wasn’t something Yi Ning could just overlook.
It was her money!
“So which hospital is that bitch in now?”
Yi Ning cracked her knuckles, ready to deliver some blessings.
“Third Affiliated Hospital of Capital Evil University.”
Gu Ke curled her lips.
Looked like someone was about to have an extended stay.
But the moment she heard the name, Yi Ning’s fury instantly vanished.
She rolled her eyes at the ceiling.
That hospital was far from their base. Even without traffic, it’d take at least half an hour by car.
She wasn’t about to waste all that effort just to beat up Xia An again.
That scheming Xia An definitely planned it this way!
“So what now?”
“Heh…”
Yi Ning sneered coldly.
No way was she letting Xia An’s scheme succeed.
“Call a Didi-Fighter to her hospital room. Have them beat her until she spends every penny of the embezzled funds on hospital bills—then they can stop. Make sure to choose cash-on-delivery and charge it to her.”
With that, Yi Ning added,
“Pick the berserker type who doesn’t listen to reason—don’t let her talk her way out of it.”
“No problem.”
Gu Ke nodded.
“What about Ji Ping?”
Yi Ning froze.
Knowing Xia An, she probably gave half the money to Ji Ping.
But Ji Ping had low spending desires and rarely used money.
So the funds in his hands would most likely end up back in Xia An’s.
But since she had just expressed sympathy for Ji Ping, Yi Ning couldn’t very well turn around and have someone beat him too.
“Sigh—”
“Guess they got lucky this time.”
She rubbed her temples and sighed helplessly.
