Chapter 101: Aftermath
The girl woke up earlier than the boy.
The chilly morning air touched her skin, making her shiver for a moment, but thanks to that, she regained her senses and began to recall what had happened.
‘…So, Dogeon was inside me…’
Ah. Right. The girl remembered that she was still naked and that there was something she had to do right away.
More importantly, she felt like she had forgotten something important. Well, it didn't matter, did it?
As she was about to put on the underwear she had thrown aside, the girl saw the lukewarm liquid flowing down her crotch, and the memories of last night gradually returned.
Not satisfied with just the first act, she left it all to her instincts and did it two, three times…
Since her heat had ended and her mind was quite clear, the girl couldn't handle the shame that was washing over her. In the end, she had held hands with him, whispered love, and rode him.
She didn't regret rolling around with him, but she regretted falling asleep like that without cleaning up.
It must have been quite intense. Looking at the stains of liquid and blood on the bed, she wiped away the flowing liquid with a tissue.
I don't know much, but I should wipe it off for now, right? Wait. Blood? Looking at the dark red marks, she replayed what had happened.
There was so much of it that it couldn't have come from her.
The girl's gaze turned to the boy. And what came into her eyes was the boy's appearance, scratched and bitten all over.
The girl silently licked her fangs slightly. She tasted a slight hint of blood.
…I need to apologize for this. The strange magic power probably doesn't even recognize this as an injury and is slacking off, asleep inside his body.
This time, the girl finally put on her underwear, covered the boy with the blanket, and rummaged through the pile of luggage.
Not books, the knives her father told her to take were just heavy, and she threw away the pictures she didn't know why she had put in. She definitely put it somewhere here.
As she rummaged through the junk, the girl was finally able to find what she was looking for.
From a pouch containing various medicines, the girl took out a pink pill. When her mother gave it to her, she couldn't understand the intention at all, but the girl thought she knew now.
My mother had it all figured out. She swallowed what is commonly called a morning-after pill.
It's safe if you take it within 24 hours. The girl didn't dislike children, but she didn't want one now. There was also the matter of her heart, and she thought it should be after they had a ceremony.
“…Eue, what time is it…”
Hearing the sound of the girl moving busily, the boy belatedly woke up. Groaning at the pain sent by his area that had forcibly risen rather than his battered body, he immediately regained his senses at the strange sensation on his back.
“It’s ointment. Stay still. You’ll get scars if you’re not careful.”
The boy was excited by the girl's touch and her disheveled voice, but at the same time, he was begging inwardly for it to calm down because of the pain that felt like it would explode.
Even though his body was strengthened with magic, he had been pushed to his limit last night, so the boy was suffering from his little friend rising again.
“…Eueuk.”
“…Sorry. I didn’t know I had that kind of habit… That… I know that not knowing doesn’t excuse everything… Will you forgive me…?”
At the girl's words, the boy only groaned softly and nodded.
However, the boy, who couldn't bring himself to face the girl, turned his head when it was time to face her. Enjoying the touch he felt on the back of his neck while calming down his little friend, he felt his blood run cold the moment he saw the clock.
The hour hand was telling him it was 8 o'clock. On top of the fear of what would happen to Jeongho and Heukrang in his heart, and what the East would be like, a new and concrete fear was added.
“…Hoyeon. I appreciate it, but I think I need to get dressed right now. Look at the clock.”
The girl's blood also ran cold.

It was already too late when I remembered what I had forgotten, so showering or anything like that was impossible. At best, I could only put some bandages on my neck and quickly wash my face.
My clothes were a bit wrinkled, but I thought I should be confident in this kind of situation. If I act openly and brazenly, no one will say anything.
…But, I still hesitated to open the door and go in. Anyone with a brain would immediately realize that we ‘did it.’ Is it really okay to do that?
Also, there was still some left inside, and I felt like it would flow out if I wasn't careful. No one would notice, but the mere possibility of it was too much.
Dogeon seemed to be hesitating as well, and couldn't bring himself to step forward. Should we just run away?
But a line from a manga came to mind. There is no paradise at the end of running away—or something like that.
“…Let’s go.”
“Should…we?”
I took a deep breath and opened the door. Everyone's eyes turned to us.
From the homeroom teacher who was handing out the test papers in the front, to the flustered-looking church people, the girls who were turning their heads away as if embarrassed, and the men who were staring at us with wide eyes.
…So what? What I've learned for sure while living in the Academy is that there's no one who can dare to say anything to me.
Except for Georg. That person is definitely crazy. How can you do a live experiment, even if a student asks you to?
“…U-Um, Hoyeon… student-nim. And Dogeon student. Um, why… were you… late…?”
The homeroom teacher greeted us with an attitude that was neither strong nor submissive, but somewhere in between.
I don't completely understand. I know roughly how embarrassing it is for a teacher to be submissive to a student.
A one-year-old brat told me to call him hyung, so I threw my resignation letter and just left.
That's why I felt a little sorry for the homeroom teacher.
“…We overslept.”
“I also overslept and was late. I’m sorry, Professor Dorothy.”
It was a blatant lie. The homeroom teacher also couldn't manage her expression for a moment and looked at us with an expression that seemed to ask if we were serious.
“…I-I see. From… next time onwards, take thorough care of yourselves so that this kind of unfortunate event doesn’t happen…”
Even while trembling, he said everything he had to say, showing a great sense of responsibility for his work. I'm sorry. We fell in love and couldn't help it.
…Still, it was good.
I erased the faint smile from the corner of my mouth and sat down in my seat. If I sent a glare to those who were still glancing at us, they would crawl in on their own.
Except for the church guys. Those guys avoided eye contact but didn't stop observing us. I felt bad, but I couldn't get angry after being late, so I stayed quiet.
The test was easy as expected. A little bit flowed out during the test, so I was nervous, but it wasn't enough to interfere.
“…Really, you worked hard. Dogeon.”
I told him he had worked hard, including last night. There's still the physical test left… There was such a thing during the midterm exam, so this time it's being conducted safely indoors, so there shouldn't be any big problems.
“…Yeah.”
Dogeon answered a bit perfunctorily, but I decided not to make an issue of it because he looked like he was really tired to death. It was a bit strange that he wasn't using that strange magic power.
“…That, pseudo-magic… or something. Aren’t you using that?”
I asked because I was curious as to why he was leaving aside such a convenient thing, since I had seen him almost die from fatigue before and then suddenly become fine with that.
“…There’s that too, but I just want to sleep.”
Ah. I think I knew what he meant. So I should just send him to his room obediently. His steps were so weak that I felt like I was supporting him.
I’ll let you off today.

Cecilia and Ethan were sitting close to each other with serious expressions at the cafe. The reason was, of course, what had happened between Hoyeon and Dogeon.
“…Ethan. That… Hoyeon and Dogeon, they… did it… right?”
Cecilia, who was only weak to men and not ignorant, accurately figured out what had happened between them.
Disheveled clothes and an uncomfortable gait. And a tired face as if they hadn't slept properly, and even the smell.
It was more difficult to not know. Ethan was seriously contemplating what the intention behind it was, not to mention the rumors that were already spreading.
What was she thinking when she did that? No matter how much he racked his brain, there was only one conclusion that came out of his head.
“…Yeah. They did it. And I think she's trying to show off. To say, ‘He's mine.’”
Ethan was able to come to that conclusion because he had captured even the faint smile on her face. That she was showing off to everyone.
Then what does she get from showing off?
“Showing off…? But there's no benefit to be gained from doing that…”
Ethan also thought Cecilia's opinion was valid. There was nothing to gain from showing off. Unless she just wanted to attract the attention of those around her.
Besides, she hardly cares about the eyes of others, so there was no reason for her to suddenly do that, so Ethan was racking his brains.
“…Kkeueung. I really don't know. Cecilia. Do you have any guesses?"
“Me? Well… After doing it, they really overslept… So they were in such a hurry to come that it turned out like that…?”
Then everything makes sense. If they just said they were late because they were in a hurry, there would be nothing strange, but Ethan, who didn't think they would make such a basic mistake, missed the truth even though it was right in front of him.
“…That's plausible, but I don't think they would make such a basic mistake.”
“Yeah, right…? I didn’t think it was right either. Then… what on earth is it…”
“…That’s what I’m saying.”
In the end, they were just wasting time sipping on their drinks.
