Chapter 15

How could she transfer to her school!

Sofia kept repeating this thought as she watched the elegant and beautiful Adeline explain the charity proposal she'd written.

She'd long heard that the Claude family's young lady was not only exceptionally capable but also remarkably beautiful.

Seeing her now, the rumors were indeed true.

"Miss Sofia, do you have any other suggestions?"

Sofia snapped back to attention and flipped through the charity proposal in her hands.

Flawless!

Linda from her school's student council couldn't compare to Adeline at all.

She was still wandering around the venue looking for men.

It really made you die of envy comparing people.

"I have no suggestions—very well done. Though if we could invite the Royal Capital's merchant guild to participate, the effect would be even better."

"I've already considered this point. I've already negotiated with the deputy chairman of the Royal Capital Merchant Guild. If you agree, we can submit an invitation to them jointly in the names of Lanchester Academy and Saint Andros Academy."

"But wouldn't the main venue space be too crowded..." Sofia raised a concern.

"If the Royal Capital Merchant Guild participates, I have a floor plan here that adjusts the venue layout." Adeline immediately displayed a carefully drawn floor plan.

"Miss Adeline, are you currently single?"

Sofia was stunned for a long time before saying this.

"Eh? Yes, I have no plans to marry anytime soon."

A hint of panic crossed Adeline's face before she immediately regained composure.

Hearing Adeline's answer, Sofia had the thought of introducing Adeline to Felyn.

But she quickly dismissed this idea herself.

Though it might pull Felyn out of Viloti's shadow, Felyn might also fall into Adeline's romantic swamp again.

Thinking about it this way, Felyn was really too easily moved.

Such an innocent boy.

"With Miss Adeline's plan, I can rest assured."

Sofia walked two steps toward the silver table and picked up two wine glasses, preparing to toast the charity project's future success.

Unexpectedly, when she turned back, she found Adeline looked somewhat strange.

She was staring directly at the balcony Sofia had just been blocking, her expression still that gentle one, but her aura felt somewhat frightening.

Sofia followed Adeline's gaze and saw Viloti and Felyn intimately together on the balcony.

Adeline must think Felyn was pestering Viloti again, so she was angry.

Human nature, understandable.

But she'd never heard that Adeline and Viloti had such a good relationship.

Regardless, she couldn't let others disturb them.

Sofia stepped up to block Adeline's view and handed her the wine glass.

"To the success of our project—cheers."

"Cheers."

Adeline's lips curved in a sweet arc as she gently brought the wine glass to her mouth.

Sofia noticed her arm trembling slightly.

"Miss Sofia, if there's nothing else, I won't disturb you further."

Adeline set down her wine glass, curtsied slightly, and walked toward the balcony.

Sofia was about to follow and stop Adeline when several annoying nobles intercepted her.

"Miss Sofia, how did the conversation go just now? How about we continue..."

Adeline walked toward the balcony while maintaining the gentle smile from her conversation with Sofia.

But her facial expression had become very stiff.

What are they two doing!

The little person in Adeline's heart exploded on the spot, screaming.

Why did they look like a couple from a novel, in such an intimate space as the balcony, looking at the city night view while discussing life?

Had I been abandoned by Felyn again?

Was Felyn once again choosing to give me up for Viloti?

Adeline's whole body began trembling as childhood shadows appeared before her eyes again.

Just as her hand touched the balcony glass, she suddenly snapped awake.

Wait, what was I'm doing?

Going in now—was she going to scold Felyn like a resentful wife?

Calling him a heartbreaker, scumbag, shameless.

That would make it seem like she and Felyn were a couple.

Adeline steadied her emotions and stood before the glass window, watching the two on the balcony.

Felyn leaned on the railing, gazing at Seiwa's night view.

Viloti stood obediently beside him, hands tightly gripping her skirt hem, head lowered, looking like she didn't know what to say.

Reason once again occupied the high ground of Adeline's mind.

She stood in place as her excellent brain began thinking.

Given: Felyn once liked Viloti.

Also given: A few days ago, Felyn didn't like Viloti and liked her instead.

Now: Viloti's appearance showed she had actively sought out Felyn.

Therefore: Viloti regretted it and liked Felyn.

So it was: Viloti liked Felyn, Felyn liked her.

Adeline spent one minute completing this complex reasoning chain.

The childhood shadow that had reappeared seemed to have colorful paint splashed on it.

She won—she won completely.

Wasn't this exactly the most satisfying script she'd always fantasized about?

Over ten years of resentment transformed into joy at a speed Adeline couldn't control, flooding every corner of her body.

I'm the winner.

She had really stolen Felyn away, and Viloti was actually starting to regret it.

Under this flood-like emotional impact, Adeline suddenly opened the balcony door and slowly walked in.

She didn't know what she was going in to do.

But her body instinctively wanted to find Felyn and flaunt her joy, completely ignoring Viloti.

Adeline was winning big—Felyn was in trouble.

Three minutes ago, when Felyn yawned, he'd seen that familiar figure standing outside the balcony.

That person, right? It was Adeline, right?

Seeing me with Viloti, was she coming in to kill someone?

The glass door was slowly pushed open, and the three gathered together in a strange way.

"Miss Viloti, so you're here."

Adeline stood in the doorway, her victory-addled brain only then remembering Viloti was still there.

Felyn stood in the corner shadows, his gaze sweeping back and forth between the two most outstanding beautiful girls at the banquet.

It was over.

Everything was over.

Why?

He'd clearly worked on strategy for so long last night.

Why was the development so different from his plans?

"Miss Viloti, congratulations."

"Thank you."

Viloti composed her expression, nodded at Adeline politely, then turned back to look at Felyn.

"Miss Viloti and I have a decent relationship at school. We're catching up here."

Felyn no longer cared whether the plot made sense—he was somewhat giving up.

"Is that so?"

Adeline walked toward Felyn with stiff steps.

The opportunity had come.

Adeline remembered her checklist plans.

She wanted Felyn to feed her cake, tie her shoes, massage her shoulders in front of Viloti...

How thrilling.

Adeline's heartbeat quickened. She stared intently at Felyn, and thinking about what she was about to do made her body tremble uncontrollably.

Felyn watched Adeline approach with a stiff smile, feeling somewhat afraid.

She really was going to stab me!

At this moment, Viloti, who had been silent, suddenly spoke.

"Adeline, do you like Felyn?"
