Chapter 88

When Lin Nan woke up the next day, he could no longer hear the wailing wind sounds from outside the dorm that had resembled crying the night before.

Since this power outage was due to the typhoon, the temperature had dropped several degrees, and with the cool breeze blowing into the dorm through the door cracks, they could sleep comfortably even without the air conditioner.

The wind sounds outside had also masked Tu Junhui's snoring, so Lin Nan had slept quite comfortably last night.

Lin Nan rubbed his eyes and got up, glancing at the dorm floor. Sure enough, after one night, the area near the door was covered with water stains, leaves, and small branches.

He yawned and looked toward the power strip he shared with Chen Yao at the head of his bed—no light.

"Still no power."

He glanced around at the other beds in the dorm and realized he was actually the last one to wake up. The other three had already gotten up and were browsing their phones, playing games, and watching videos.

"Is the water out too?" he asked.

"Go downstairs and check." Chen Yao turned over, lying on his stomach while playing with his phone, making amazed sounds. "The news says our entire district is without power."

"That bad?"

"This typhoon wasn't that strong after making landfall, otherwise the whole city would probably be without power," Tu Junhui interjected. "So we're both the first and last batch of victims."

"Really rough." Lin Nan was still groggy at first, but once the grogginess wore off, he suddenly remembered last night's scene of the three roommates ganging up to bully him. His face immediately darkened, then he shut his mouth, got out of bed, and couldn't be bothered to deal with them.

Who knew these guys would become so bored during a typhoon that they'd act like that.

Lin Nan climbed down from his bed and walked to the balcony, only to find the balcony was even more of a mess. Various items originally placed on the balcony had been blown around everywhere, and water pooled near the edge. As soon as he pushed open the back door, he shivered from the cold wind outside.

Although the typhoon had passed, the temperature was still colder than usual. Lin Nan, accustomed to high temperatures, didn't react in time.

Soon his passive magic kicked in, and the cold instantly dissipated, making him much more comfortable.

He walked to the washbasin and turned on the faucet, only to helplessly discover that the water was indeed out.

Fortunately, they had bought two large cases of water yesterday, which should be enough for the four of them to wash up, as long as no one got bored enough to want to shower in the next few days.

Lin Nan looked out from the balcony toward the school's various plants and trees, and saw that most of the tall trees had been blown around messily. Several trees had even failed to survive last night's typhoon and had crashed down. Looking toward the corridor of the dormitory building across from them, he noticed some dorm doors were wobbling and seemed damaged—probably unlucky enough to have been hit by some large objects blown by the wind.

"The water's out in the dorm," Lin Nan went back inside to remind his roommates.

"It's really out?" Xiong Da turned over and got up. Having never experienced a typhoon before, he looked amazed - he probably thought big cities could never have water outages.

Lin Nan had actually thought the same way before. Even when he lived in the countryside as a child, although there were occasional power outages in summer, he had rarely experienced water outages throughout his life.

Taking two bottles of mineral water, Lin Nan went to wash up. The others in the dorm also gradually got out of bed to check if their laptop batteries could support playing games for a while.

The typhoon had indeed swept away the heat, finally giving October a bit of autumn feeling. After washing up, Lin Nan returned to the dorm and happily put on a thin autumn jacket, looking down at his concealed chest with great satisfaction.

This was a lightweight, small denim jacket, probably the kind of tight-fitting style that delinquent youth particularly liked.

Because of having breasts now, clothes that used to fit just right now felt tight around his shoulders, restricting his movement.

"Is it really that cold?" Tu Junhui, wearing only underwear, was frantically putting clothes on in bed.

"Then why are you rushing to put on clothes?" Lin Nan rolled his eyes at the back of his head.

"There's a woman in the dorm, can I not wear more clothes?"

Although Lin Nan didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with it, he just felt particularly awkward.

He had already tried his best to dress properly in the dorm, but fat people are naturally heat-sensitive, and he was used to sleeping in just underwear.

"You're the woman." Lin Nan weakly retorted and returned to sit in front of his computer to play some single-player games, but as soon as he turned it on, he discovered the computer didn't have much battery left.

"Speaking of which, the cafeteria won't stop cooking just because there's no water or electricity, right?" Lin Nan suddenly thought of this.

The three roommates' faces immediately turned green.

Perhaps coincidentally hearing Lin Nan's words while passing by, Lin Yuan from next door suddenly pushed open the door and said to the four inside: "I just came back from the cafeteria. There's still one place open on the second floor."

"But they're almost out of food too." He pulled out a discount coupon from his pocket. "If you go eat now, you can still get a 'spend ten, save one' coupon, but you can only use it tomorrow."

Taking advantage of the situation to attract customers?

He then fixed his gaze on Lin Nan, paused for a moment, and asked: "Lin Nan, why are you wearing women's clothing?"

"This is proper men's clothing!" Lin Nan angrily retorted.

"You look like you're wearing women's clothing..." He scratched his head, then squatted down and took out cat food to please Cola.

What Lin Nan hated most was how Xiong Da and Lin Yuan would point out his flaws with expressionless faces, speaking so matter-of-factly that you couldn't tell if it was a joke or if it was really true.

So he directly stood in front of the mirror. Before his gaze even reached his face, the thought "there's a girl in the mirror" appeared in his mind.

Then looking at his upper body, because of his thin waist, protruding hips, and slightly curved chest, the tight denim jacket on him really did give off the feeling of wearing women's clothing... Turning sideways, he thought his chest was concealed, but under the jacket's silhouette, you could still vaguely see some curvature, though at least it wouldn't be revealing.

Lin Nan angrily unbuttoned his jacket, which finally gave it more of a men's clothing feel, but this way it couldn't hide his chest at all.

He opened his wardrobe, trying to find another lightweight jacket, but helplessly discovered he had no other thin jackets to wear.

"Nan Nan, get ready to go out to eat at the cafeteria. Didn't you hear Lin Yuan say they're going to sell out?" Tu Junhui habitually teased. "You look very pretty, stop looking in the mirror."

"Hey, do I really look like I'm wearing women's clothing in this outfit?" Lin Nan looked up at his roommates with a conflicted expression.

Chen Yao studied him for a moment, and seeing his conflicted appearance, reluctantly shook his head. But Tu Junhui wasn't so considerate—he nodded without hesitation: "Yeah, it suits you quite well. You should go to Thailand."

Lin Nan looked toward Lin Yuan and Xiong Da—he was more willing to believe what these two said.

However, Xiong Da was looking down, grinding away at his game, with no time to pay attention to him. Lin Yuan was also playing with the cat, wearing a rare smile on his face.
