Chapter 201. First Live (3)
The one who barely managed to speak was Seo Taehyun, who had his idol persona equipped.
“…N-no, we didn’t fight! When did we ever!”
“Don’t be ridiculous. You two weren’t even talking to each other because of the fight.”
“That’s not true!”
“Huh, wow. Lying right in front of Destiny. Destiny! They fought! But they won’t even tell me why, so childish… Mmph! Ow! Ack! These brats!”
As Yugeon started to shout the truth to Destiny, I was so flustered that he quickly folded me (literally folded me!) and rolled me backwards. Meanwhile, Seo Taehyun swiftly moved in front of the phone and covered the screen to manage the situation.
“Uh, everyone, we had a bit of a broadcast accident. Yugeon and I didn’t fight. …Actually, we did have a little argument. But it wasn’t a big deal. We’ve made up now, so don’t worry. Seriously.”
“Aaagh! Destiny! Save m—mmph!”
“Huh? Oh, you’re asking why we fought…? It was nothing major. We were just talking about debuting together, and we misunderstood each other a bit…. Anyway. So, what’s our next challenge? Should we show you the seniors’ ‘Mood Night’ by Enderway?”
“Alright, alright! I won’t say it! I won’t! Enough! You ungrateful…!”
While Seo Taehyun was handling the situation, I had to endure Yugeon’s gaze that screamed, ‘What the hell are you thinking, you idiot?’ as he completely overpowered me in the practice room. He literally bent my body in half, crossed my arms and legs, and pressed down with his strength, so I couldn’t even resist.
…Not that I had any intention of resisting anyway.
‘This should be enough of a mention, right?’
After I promised Yugeon with a pinky swear that I really wouldn’t act out anymore, I was finally released and allowed to return in front of the camera. My disheveled clothes and hair from the unexpected wrestling match gave Destiny a good laugh as a bonus.
“Let’s sing a song by the seniors, Enderway, this time. Hyung, get up.”
“Yep.”
– 19-year-old laying down the law on a 20-year-old, LOL
– Seriously, Kang Hajin looks like a useless unemployed uncle
– Forget the grandkids group, this is just uncle-nephew dynamics, LOL
– Grandkids group is a mess, for real
– But why did Hyun and Yugeon fight???
– OMG, LOL
Seeing the comments getting lively brought a satisfied smile to my face.
We continued to tackle various idol songs, sharing stories in between, and finally wrapped up the broadcast after a lengthy 2 hours and 30 minutes.
And this chaotic first live broadcast brought exactly the results I had hoped for.

You can’t sit with me in the feed if you haven’t seen the Grandkids version of Parang
I must see Kairos cover the seniors’ song at the year-end awards with my own eyes

[Anyone want to hear the story of the Kairos chasing in Gangwon Province?]
**TaeRiDay @tae_day**
WTF, Taehyun was thinking of quitting training before MiroMaze
So he ran away to his hometown
But Hajin chased him all the way to Gangwon Province
And convinced him to come backㅠㅠㅠ
(Clip from Hajin and Taehyun’s live telling the Gangwon chase story)
The crazier part is that this was less than a month after Hajin joined Miro…
But Hajin, who supported Taehyun so much he even voted for him on Boys’ World, chased him down in Gangwon because he wanted to debut with him… and then 6 months later they debuted as 1st and 2nd in MiroMazeㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Isn’t this story insane?
– This is a crisis…
– Yesterday’s live was so packed and amazingㅠㅜㅜ
– Wow, I liked both Seo Taehyun and Kang Hajin after watching *To Me*… This feels like a shonen manga plot
– And they kept fighting in yesterday’s live too, LOL, so cute
**Kim Reto @letter_kx**
I’m laughing so hard
So you’re telling me this awkward tension is from them actually fighting, LOL

My head is splitting
But actually
Until Yugeon joined *To Me*,
Seo Taehyun was the only trainee at the company he was close to
Hajin almost fainted when he found out they were close
Hajin, but what about me?

If there’s no story,
Make one.
As Destiny dug up the hidden stories between the members through Hajin’s live broadcast, they polished these stories like gemstones, making them shine like diamonds.
The playful mention of Yugeon and Taehyun’s quarrel by Hajin was soon beautifully packaged into a heartwarming event that made their friendship seem even more genuine.
‘They bought it.’
Satisfied, Hajin saw the mentions of Taehyun and Yugeon together increasing rapidly on Blue Bird, then closed the app.
[System Alert: Huh? You’re not going to watch more?]
[System Alert: The system is disappointed… You said it was fun watching the reactions.]
‘I’ve seen all I need to. You can watch the rest.’
Kang Hajin had his own philosophy when it came to fandom:
– People will say anything on a private account (hereafter referred to as ‘alt account’),
– If the main account is still active despite chaos on the alt account, that’s a good sign,
– If words from the alt account start spilling onto the main account, it’s getting a bit serious,
– If no one says anything even on the main account, that’s a catastrophe, and you should let it go.
…In light of that philosophy, the “Yugeon Discord Rumor” was probably already causing a stir beneath the surface. The fact that mentions countering it were appearing on the main accounts was a very satisfying sign.
[System Alert: Hoho… The idol world is quite complex….]
‘There’s one more thing.’
[System Alert: Another one?]
[System Alert: (‘◇’)?]
‘The population of Earth is 7 billion.’
[System Alert: What?]
‘The opinions on Blue Bird and alt accounts don’t represent half the population, so just take them with a grain of salt.’
At times like this, if I went into a private account composed of named users and information accounts, I might see more honest opinions from Destiny, but…
Hajin didn’t feel the need to do that. It wasn’t necessary.
“I’m home!”
With everything done, Hajin lay down on the sofa in the living room, planning to take a nap. Suddenly, the door burst open, and the bright voice of Dan Haru echoed from the entrance.
Hajin barely opened one eye and lazily waved his hand to greet Haru.
“You’re back.”
“Yes! Are you already sleeping, Hyung?”
“Yes. I’m already half asleep.”
“I planned today’s live content with Doha hyung!”
“Uh-huh. Good for you.”
After watching the live of the *J-some(조손즈)* group (a name that was dramatically agreed upon after the debate on whether it should be *J-grandkids* or *J-nephew* during the live), Haru was inspired to plan new content. It seemed he had just finished that meeting.
Hajin, who was growing more tired, closed his eyes to finally sleep, but Haru, still brimming with excitement, sat down leaning against the sofa where Hajin was lying. As if ready to start a chat, Hajin instinctively raised his guard.
“Right. Good job. Now go brag to Taehyun….”
“We’re going to learn rap from Doha hyung first!”
“Hmm. So my condition doesn’t matter.”
Seeing how determined Haru was to keep talking, Hajin quickly gave up and quietly closed his mouth.
Through a fierce game of rock-paper-scissors, Haru ended up pairing with Doha for the live broadcast, and he was now explaining the plan he had concocted to Hajin in detail.
“…So, Doha hyung is going to rate the sandwiches I made!”
“……? Didn’t you just say you were going to learn rap?”
“That’s in the first part! The sandwiches are in the second part.”
…Okay. Impressive.
How on earth did “Doha’s Rap Class” turn into “Dan Haru’s Sandwich-Making Class”? Half-asleep, Hajin had missed the middle part of the explanation and was slightly confused.
‘Well, their pairing is fresh, so it’ll probably be fun…’
However, Haru was the type who once threw a frying pan handle across the room while cooking meat. Hajin, unable to just sit by and watch potential destruction unfold in Doha’s studio, finally sat up.
“But, do you really have to make the sandwiches? How about just ordering a few of your favorite ones and doing a mukbang review? Save some money on ingredients too.”
“Gasp. That’s a great idea too! But I have so many favorite sandwiches….”
“…Let’s ask Eunchan to buy them for
you.”
As Hajin averted his gaze and said whatever came to mind, Eunchan, who had just come out of his room to get some water, responded to hearing his name.
“Me?”
“Sorry, Eunchan. It’s for the sake of the Earth.”
“…Huh?”
Hajin coughed awkwardly and changed the subject.
“What about you, Eunchan? What’s your live plan?”
“Oh.”
With Doha paired with Haru, Eunchan naturally teamed up with Siwoo.
Their original plan was a simple one: learning guitar and singing together. But after Haru and Doha decided to plan new content, Eunchan and Siwoo, not wanting to be outdone, declared they would come up with something new too.
‘Both of them have a reckless streak, so who knows what they’ll come up with.’
Hajin was slightly anxious as he waited for Eunchan’s answer. Eunchan, pouring water into a cup in the kitchen, innocently replied.
“Oh. Siwoo hyung is going to teach me games.”
“Games? What kind of games?”
“Drinking games.”
…What kind of game?
“Hyung said he can’t stand to see a group member losing in games wherever we go… So, I’m getting special training from him.”
“…That hyung isn’t normal either.”
Are we really going to be okay like this…?
Hajin’s eyelids twitched with unease.

Contrary to my concerns, the remaining two units’ live broadcasts were successful, showcasing their own fun and chemistry.
– The bread of Sandwich A was chewier than I expected. I think they toasted it for too long to get a crispy texture…. If that’s the case, it might have been better to only toast one side.
– This Sandwich C was delicious, but…. I’m going to disqualify it.
– Why?
– It didn’t have egg mayo.
– Haru, do you like egg mayo?
– No, it’s just that C was supposed to be an egg mayo sandwich…!
-(Shocked)
Watching Doha take everything so seriously and Haru being so earnest about food, their live broadcast was already over an hour long.
‘If it got boring, I was planning to help out, but it looks like that won’t be necessary.’
I got up from where I had been waiting near the practice room where the two were streaming and left. I thought about waiting for a bit to leave with them once they finished, but…
– Do you eat the crust when you have pizza?
– I usually finish the whole thing.
– Do you prefer tteokbokki with rice cakes or fish cakes?
– I just eat whatever they give me.
– When you have tangsuyuk, do you pour the sauce or dip?
– …I’ve never really thought about it.
– Gasp! Amazing! Me too!
These two seem to have a lot to talk about.
I took a long route around the practice room to avoid getting pulled into their live broadcast. Standing in front of the shiny LED elevator, I saw someone was already there before me.
As I got closer, a familiar blue-haired figure greeted me.
“Yugeon?”
“…Oh.”
“What? Are you heading back to the dorm?”
“Yeah. You?”
“Yeah.”
Nodding, Yugeon awkwardly avoided my gaze.
Just a while ago during the live, he had pinned me down, folding me in half, and now he’s acting shy?
– People like you don’t get it. How much being a minus makes people want to run away.
Then, I suddenly remembered there was something I needed to address with him.
Just as the elevator arrived and the door opened, I stepped closer to Yugeon, who squinted slightly at the bright light.
“Yugeon.”
“Wh-what?”
When I casually draped my arm around the shoulder of Yugeon, who was 1cm taller than me, he turned to me, startled.
“Wanna walk to the dorm with me? I’ll buy you ice cream at the convenience store.”
“Am I Dan Haru?”
“Then how about a hot dog?”
I got my allowance today, so just say the word. I’ll buy you anything.
When I winked exaggeratedly, Yugeon’s face twisted in disgust.
