(Continued)
‘..? Why is there a glass wall in front of me?’
I felt perplexed as I saw the large mirror-like object that hadn’t been there before.
“That was too much.”
With a flash of golden light, another knight blocked the slime. It was Mardoll. My opinion of the crown prince rose a bit.
“This teaching method is wrong!”
“This is too much. It’s just a harmless monster that loves people. It’s even kept as a pet….”
Behind me, Kainel and Ariel backed me up. The red-haired mage was already cradling the slime, which seemed to have calmed down compared to before.
“I wasn’t wrong about you.”
Clap, clap.
Just then, the sound of clapping echoed.
“Excellent. Kainel, Ariel. Mardoll, Licht.. good.”
The professor praised the four of us who had stepped forward. The way she kept her eyes closed but only her mouth smiling felt a bit creepy.
“I believe that more than being good at healing, this kind of humanity is a basic quality for heroes. Well done.”
What a twisted person. Did she go through the battlefield like Dennis?
I glared at Beatrice as she approached Ariel without a single change in expression.
She stood in front of the mage of the blazing flame.
“Divine power is the manifestation of a rational wish. So I wanted to test your hearts more than anything.”
“Wha-what are you going to do this time?”
“Don’t be afraid. I wasn’t aiming for the slime from the beginning.”
She gently petted the fox slime, then clasped her hands in prayer. Light gathered again and fell on the slime like snow.
The slime, which flinched slightly, regained its energy and started hopping around the floor. Now that it wasn’t scared anymore, it slipped out of the mage’s arms.
“Most people who believe in God are high-ranking clergy or priests, so this kind of bias is common.”
With the sound of her shoes clacking, she returned to the podium and continued.
“Many people commit evil deeds in the name of God. I’m just telling you this so you’ll be cautious, not to misunderstand.”
The nun flashed a bright smile.
“It’s better to experience it firsthand than just hearing about it.”
Maybe she was referring to the cult that plays the villain role. Looks like they exist in this timeline, too. I let out a sigh.
“Today, we’ll learn the prayer of healing you just saw.”
Ugh, this class is never going to end. Why is it a full-length lecture? Memories from my past flickered before my eyes. The first OT in college life is a promise.
“The simplest method is to think of your most intense desire. If you don’t have one, you can pray to God.”
And then, with her hands clasped again, the short-haired professor.
If I could find out her last name, I could figure out what role she played in <Knight Heart> or <Black Heart>. Characters this distinctive can’t be just a one-time appearance.
But this is the past. There must be information I don’t know yet.
‘I’m not certain yet.’
Since the rival event with Mardoll hasn’t triggered, I need to think more carefully.
Our party returned to our seats and sat down.
Beatrice nodded slightly, as if to say she wouldn’t cause any more trouble.
We began to pray.
Wait, I wonder if this could raise Ariel and Kainel’s romance level.
“Miss Ariel.”
“Licht, do you want to burn? Shall I set you on fire?”
“No. I’m sorry.”
Ugh, failure.
She must be really upset about what happened yesterday. I mean, she did get a piggyback ride from her childhood friend, so it’s understandable. I changed my target.
“Kainel.”
“What, you should think of that white-haired person instead.”
“Please.. let’s stop. I admit defeat..”
This side didn’t work either. Even the clueless mutt couldn’t draw out the choices. I lowered my head in defeat.
“White hair?”
“…”
Now the crown prince has heard it too. Kainel, we’ll talk later. If he ends up in a love line with the Saintess, it’s going to be bad.
If she ends up in a harem route, she’ll be pitifully discarded. A supporting character like him won’t stand a chance against the other heroines.
A strong CG event with the other heroines, full voice acting? The Platinum Wolf didn’t get that.
She needs to be with someone who only looks at her.
‘This is a disaster.’
I sighed deeply, closed my eyes, and clasped my hands. I focused on learning the healing prayer, hoping that even without magic, maybe I had holy power.
No one could beat me when it came to having a single wish.

Phine was tilting her head repeatedly as she looked at Licht. He couldn’t see her since he had his eyes closed.
‘White hair…’
No matter how she thought about it, it was the same color as her own hair. She looked down at her armor.
A special royal product that blocks all magic. It was a masterpiece-level piece of equipment, so it couldn’t possibly be pierced.
‘Does he have eyesight as good as mine? This man too?’
Even earlier, his quick decision-making had been
better than hers. She thought he might be stronger than her. She clenched her fists.
‘Or maybe it’s a masterpiece-grade weapon, interesting.’
She glanced at the Black Knight’s dark helm. The wolf’s ears inside her helmet twitched as she focused on the low, thick voice of the man mumbling something.
“Please.. let me protect her this time.”
His earnest demeanor piqued her strong curiosity. Her tail wagged slightly inside the armor.
Trying not to let it show, Phine turned her head.
‘That stance just now.. for defence?’
She recalled the scene she had just witnessed with her own eyes.
A swordsmanship designed to catch dragons flying in the air.
It could definitely fill in the gaps she lacked.
‘Even if you’re the daughter of my lord, you can’t!! You have too much mana, so using magic suits you better!’
She remembered being rejected when she asked Drake to teach her as a child.
His hearty laughter and sly smile were etched deeply in her memory.
“Mardoll, aren’t you going to pray?”
Beatrice made a gesture of clasping her hands as she looked at Phine.
She looked around. It seemed like she was the only one not praying.
“Hmm.”
The glass knight didn’t like this person, but since the two beside her were praying, she thought she should at least try.
Just think of a desire. There was only one thing like that for her.
‘I need to become stronger.’
Finally, Phine closed her eyes and clasped her hands.
The four people were trying to learn the prayer of healing, each with different thoughts in mind.
