Chapter 56

When Liu Fei saw Su Yun shrinking back in fear from him, his heart skipped a beat.

He suddenly realized… Su Yun’s body actually looked quite slim. If that thick outer coat came off, the figure underneath might be really nice—maybe even girl-like.

Liu Fei stared, then couldn’t help but grab Su Yun’s dodging little hand.

The wrist was soft… small… maybe even smelled nice.

In that moment, Liu Fei looked at Su Yun with a face full of disbelief.

Wait, they’d lived together for half a year, and he’d never realized his bro...

“Su Yun, I’m getting this weird feeling you’re actually a girl.”

“What the hell are you talking about?” The other roommates looked at Liu Fei in confusion. But when they noticed Su Yun’s shy, hiding expression—it did look kinda cute—they froze.

“Ugh…” Su Yun leaned against the wall, eyes squeezed shut. She felt like she was about to explode.

If they got even a little closer, she was gonna bolt.

“Even your voice sounds like a girl’s… is your throat still not better?” Liu Fei swallowed hard.

“Bro, I’ve never begged anyone in my life, but... how about I buy you a skirt and you try on some girl’s clothes for me?”

He couldn’t even believe he said that. The moment the words came out, he was stunned.

“…You’re sick.” Su Yun realized hiding was useless now. She stood up straight and locked eyes with Liu Fei, pure disgust in her gaze.

“Haha, just kidding. It’s your fault for looking so scrawny and lying to us about your height.” Liu Fei forced himself to push down the weird thoughts, walked over and patted Su Yun on the shoulder like nothing happened.

He was feeling seriously messed up right now. That disgusted look Su Yun just gave him… even made his body feel kind of excited.

Of course, Liu Fei wasn’t into guys or anything. He figured it was just Su Yun looking too much like a girl, and since he’d never dated before, his brain was getting confused.

“Su Yun, did you go to the sports meet yesterday?” Liu Fei quickly changed the topic.

The sophomores were still signing in—it’d be another two or three minutes.

“That girl in the white stockings almost got hurt up there. Even made the dance club’s campus belle panic.”

“I’ve never seen the campus belle in person until yesterday. And the first time I did, it was during that kind of scene. I heard someone recorded it too. Anyone got the video? I kinda wanna see what she looks like when she cries.”

“Dude, do you have some weird kink or what?”

As soon as the sports meet came up, the conversation picked up.

“...” Su Yun stayed completely silent at this.

Someone else crying, and you still wanna watch? What kind of people are you?

Still, she didn’t show any anger. She just quietly stood there.

“But seriously, that girl in the white stockings? She was hot. Her legs were super pale in the video. Cute face, sweet voice—good thing she didn’t get hurt. This stupid school… can’t even keep the floor from collapsing.”

“What, you care that much? You tryna simp?”

“Of course I am.”

“Respect.”

“...” The four roommates kept chatting, but Su Yun had lowered her head.

If she took off her mask right now, they’d see that their beloved white-stocking girl was currently blushing like crazy—super cute.

“Su Yun, you don’t seem to care about yesterday’s sports meet much. You didn’t go?” Liu Fei was the only one who noticed Su Yun’s odd behavior. He steered the topic back toward her.

“I went. Just didn’t know what to say.”

“You’re talking even less than usual. I’m telling you, man—if you’re too shy and timid, you’ll never get a girlfriend. Be a little bolder, Su Yun.” Liu Fei lectured her.

“Got it.” Su Yun nodded lightly in response.

As Liu Fei looked at Su Yun, there was a moment where he felt her shy, bashful demeanor… was just like a girl’s.

But he quickly shook that thought off. He remembered what happened yesterday.

Yesterday, during the sports meet, he’d listened to that white-stocking girl sing a sweet love song. It had sparked a bit of courage in him, made him want to ask out the girl from class he’d been chatting with a lot lately.

He wanted a sweet, fluffy relationship too.

“Stay away from her.”

Just as Su Yun was surrounded and chatting with them, a cold female voice came from a distance.

“Huh?” Liu Fei turned to look—then his eyes went wide.

He locked onto the girl walking over.

Big chest, black stockings, long legs.

He was completely stunned.

“Uh, we’re waiting for the freshman sign-in, senior...” Liu Fei said politely as she approached, assuming she’d misunderstood something.

“We’re freshmen too, waiting to sign in.” The other roommates also tried explaining seriously. Faced with this curvy senior, their voices all softened a bit, probably from being flustered.

At the same time, Liu Fei sneaked a few more glances and realized—this black-stocking senior was the very campus belle from yesterday’s stage.

Why was the campus belle here chasing them off? What’d they do wrong?

“I’m not here for your sign-in. I’m here for her.”

Qin Xue’s eyes never once lingered on the boys. Her sharp gaze was fixed directly on Su Yun, standing in the middle of them.

Su Yun was so startled she immediately lowered her head.

“Huh?” Liu Fei turned and finally noticed Su Yun.

Wait, Su Yun was the target?

What the hell did Su Yun do?

“Ugh.”

Qin Xue walked over, reached in, and gently pulled Su Yun out from the group.

The roommates didn’t stop her. They just watched.

But their gazes—what started as concern—soon turned into confusion, shock, and… jealousy.

Because the way Qin Xue pulled Su Yun out wasn’t by tugging on her clothes.

She was holding her hand.

It looked exactly like a girlfriend pulling her sulky boyfriend out of a crowd.

Liu Fei’s eyes almost popped out of his skull.

“Uh… Su Yun, what’s going on?” Liu Fei called out Su Yun’s name, even tugged on her sleeve.

“You two know each other?”

And then the campus belle—dressed to kill—turned and glared at him. Her eyes were filled with disdain.

Like she was staring at trash.

So hot… do it again...

Liu Fei snapped back to reality, quickly let go of Su Yun’s sleeve, and was just about to explain that he was her roommate.

“They’re classmates. We were just chatting while waiting to sign in.” Su Yun pulled Qin Xue closer, stopping her from talking to her roommates any further.

“Oh? Just chatting? Then why do you look like you’re being bullied?”

“I’m not, I swear, it’s nothing...” Su Yun shook her head quickly, her voice soft and delicate—totally endearing.

“Mm. Alright then.”

Qin Xue chose to believe her. She reached out and dusted off some white chalk from the back of Su Yun’s coat.

Then she took Su Yun by the hand and led her over to the sign-in area.

Even though Qin Xue had already signed in, she still stayed by Su Yun’s side.

“Huh?” The roommates watching from behind were stunned.

Liu Fei looked like he’d just seen a ghost. He whipped out his phone and started snapping pics.

He captured Su Yun holding hands with the black-stocking campus belle.

He was gonna post them in the gossip group later. No way he was keeping this shock and heartbreak to himself.
