A reply quickly popped up on the screen.
Just looking at the message, Qin Xue could already picture Sister Xiaoyun’s flustered expression in her mind.

Su Yun was standing on a quiet, open patch of land. She must have run out here to escape the noise.

Seeing her appear, Qin Xue perked up happily at the window, her legs swinging like a playful kitten wagging its tail.
Meanwhile, Su Yun looked a little dazed, maybe caught off guard by Qin Xue’s gorgeous smile, or something else entirely.
Qin Xue had rested her phone on the window ledge just in front of her chest, filming her face from a low angle.
Normally, this would be the dreaded “death angle”—shooting from below always made the face look bigger.
But right now, Su Yun just stood there in silence, her face gradually turning red, unable to say a word.
“Sister Xiaoyun, why aren’t you saying anything? What are you doing right now?”
“Your… um, I mean, I’m still at the police station finishing some paperwork. I’ll probably be back soon.”
Su Yun averted her gaze as she spoke, clearly a bit flustered.

She kept saying she’d be back soon, but hadn’t she been saying that for hours?

“Sister Xue—hey! What are you doing?!”
Su Yun’s voice immediately panicked.
On screen, Qin Xue had intentionally tugged her shirt tighter with one hand, making a certain part of her body stand out even more. Her figure was already stunning, and now it looked especially tempting.
Because of the camera angle, half the screen was now filled with that, while the other half showed Qin Xue’s slender waist.
Luckily, her clothes were thick enough that nothing was actually exposed.
“Sister Xiaoyun’s face is all red~ That means you really like it, right?”
Qin Xue teased, her voice playful.
“I do not! I—I just like looking!”
Su Yun’s voice was clearly flustered now. On video, she kept shaking her head like a bobblehead, looking adorably panicked.
“That’s the same thing as liking it~”
“Ugh, that’s not what I meant…”
“Hehe, dummy~”
Watching her flustered like that, Qin Xue could already imagine how cute Sister Xiaoyun must look right now.

“Sister Xiaoyun, wanna see what’s underneath? I’m not wearing anything~”
Still not satisfied, Qin Xue leaned in, continuing to tease her.
“Ah?!”
“Sister Xue, don’t! Someone might see!”
But this time, Su Yun didn’t shy away. She immediately turned the camera back to herself. Though her cheeks were still pink, her tone had changed completely.
She was genuinely worried that Qin Xue might actually flash something on the video call.

And besides—what if someone happened to walk by while she was doing that? They were outdoors right now!
“No! Don’t!”
In an instant, Su Yun turned into a fluffed-up cat, frantically trying to stop her through the screen.
“Heh, I was just messing with you~ Sister Xiaoyun, you’re so silly. If I ever do show you, it’ll be when you’re back here in person.”
Qin Xue teasingly lifted the edge of her shirt, then immediately let it fall again.
She just wanted to see how Su Yun would react.
Even if she wasn’t blushing, her worried expression was still adorable.

Su Yun breathed a sigh of relief, but then quickly realized something was off.
“Sister Xiaoyun~ Hurry back so I can show you~”
With a teasing tone, Qin Xue raised her voice, her pink cheeks paired with a charming smile.
“That’s not what I meant! Sister Xue, I don’t wanna see that!”
The girl on screen started panicking again, but no matter how she tried to explain, it was no use.
Qin Xue already knew—Sister Xiaoyun definitely liked that part of her body.
Just like her real little sister who couldn’t fall asleep at night without hugging her.
But Qin Xue didn’t want Sister Xiaoyun to treat her like a sister.
Not just a sister.
They continued chatting playfully like this.
Every few lines, Qin Xue would come up with something new to tease Su Yun until she couldn’t even look at the screen. Her face just kept getting redder and redder.
Seeing Sister Xiaoyun like that, Qin Xue was sure—this call was so worth it.
As they talked, she occasionally glanced out the window, watching to see if anyone passed by.
At that moment, someone walked out from the building downstairs.
At first, Qin Xue didn’t think much of it and kept chatting.
But a few minutes later, that same person came out of another building, and based on the direction they were heading, it looked like they might be coming up her building next.
“Hmm?”
In the middle of their conversation, Qin Xue suddenly turned her gaze toward that direction. The man was now entering the building next door. If he came out again, odds were high she’d be his next stop.
“Sister Xue, what’s wrong?”
Su Yun noticed her suddenly looking elsewhere and asked with concern.
“It’s nothing.”
“Really?”
“Mhm.”
And so, they kept chatting for a while longer.
But sure enough, a few minutes later, the man in the black cap stepped out from the building again.
He raised his phone and pointed it toward the upper floors—right where Qin Xue was.
If he turned his head even slightly, he’d see her at the window.
