Chapter 200
"Teacher, it's an emergency!"
While chatting with a fellow teacher in the staff room, the door burst open.
The one who appeared was a male student whose name he didn't know.
He was out of breath, clearly having run there.
"What happened?"
"A fight! Upperclassmen are fighting on the field!"
The male student answered Big Rock, the physical education teacher.
"We couldn't stop them... Please come too, teacher!"
"What did you say...!? Lead the way!"
"I'll come along too."
Following Big Rock, Clael also stood up from his chair.
Clael wasn't particularly used to rough situations, but if someone was injured, they'd need someone who could provide treatment.
"Can I count on you? Let's go!"
"Yes."
Led by the male student, Clael and Big Rock ran toward the field.
When they arrived at the field, a small crowd had gathered in one corner.
"Don't act all high and mighty! Just because you're the prince's lapdog, you think you're some kind of leader!?"
"Who's a lapdog!? Take that back!"
Two male students were shouting insults at each other.
One of them was unfamiliar. He was large, with a crew cut, and had the typical appearance of an athletic type.
"Oh?"
However... the other one was a familiar student.
One of the main characters. It appeared to be the arrogant pretty boy, Vincent Flame.
"What the hell are you two yelling about!?"
Big Rock pushed through the crowd and shouted at the arguing pair.
The two stopped fighting at the appearance of the physical education teacher... but they continued glaring at each other, seemingly ready to start punching again at any moment.
"What happened!? Explain!"
"...This guy picked a fight with me. Said I shouldn't boss people around or act all superior."
"It's true! I don't care if you're a student council officer or the Knight Captain's son, I don't have to take orders from you!"
At Vincent's words, the other student snapped back with a snarl.
"Your sword form was sloppy, so I just pointed it out. I didn't do anything wrong!"
"Did I ever ask you!? Just because you come from a good family, you think you're already the Knight Captain!?"
"Family background has nothing to do with swordsmanship! When did I ever mention my dad's name!?"
"Stop it! This is disgraceful!"
As the two resumed their shouting match, Big Rock roared at them.
"If you've got a problem with each other, settle it in a mock battle! That's the unspoken rule for students aiming to be knights!"
"............"
"I don't mind. What about you?"
The crew-cut student fell silent in frustration.
Vincent seemed eager to go through with it.
"So? If you're willing to fight, I'll officiate."
"Damn it!"
When Big Rock confirmed, the crew-cut student hurled a curse and stomped off toward the school building.
"Tch..."
Vincent clicked his tongue loudly but didn't go after him.
He watched the large figure walk away with a look of annoyance.
"You there, could you explain what happened?"
"M-Me!?"
They wouldn't get anywhere like this.
Clael pointed to one of the nearby students and asked for an explanation from a third-party perspective.
"Um... We were all training to participate in the martial arts tournament. During training, Flame-senpai told Guardly-senpai that his sword was off and advised him to relax his shoulders more. Then... Guardly-senpai got mad, saying not to act all high and mighty, and grabbed him..."
The student explained nervously.
The cause of the fight seemed to be that crew-cut student from earlier... apparently named Guardly.
From what he heard, it sounded like Vincent had just been picked on...
"Isn't that enough? Let us resume training. There's not much time left before the martial arts tournament."
"...Fine."
Vincent said bluntly, and Big Rock nodded.
"But make sure not to cause any more trouble. If you stir things up too much... you won't be allowed to participate in the tournament, regardless of your abilities!"
Big Rock warned the students firmly, then headed back toward the school building.
(Looks like no one's injured...)
It seemed there was nothing for Clael to do.
Following Big Rock, Clael also left the field.
