Suicide Before Defeating the Final Boss – 115
EP.115 Plan
This must be what it feels like when you’re forced to face someone you don’t want to meet in a situation where you’d rather avoid them.
Jeong-hyeon felt the rising conflict in silence and pondered how to resolve it when Reltra glanced over and spoke in a rather solemn voice.
“Behemoth. We should have a word for a moment.”
Then, grabbing Behemoth by the neck, she addressed them both.
“Apologies, My Lord, Hero. I must take care of my terribly disobedient subordinate. I will be taking my leave now.”
“Re, Reltra? Where are you going? Hey! Are you seriously going to run away after causing all this?”
“My Lord. The position of a Demon Lord comes with responsibilities. Even amidst great suffering and hardship, I hope you rise strong.”
“Reltra!”
Sighing, he watched the two bickering, shaking his head before saying,
“Anyways, Shin Si-ah, let’s have a talk.”
“Huh? Yes.”
She let go of Reltra’s cloak, nodding awkwardly, her face filled with confusion.
“Let’s go somewhere quiet.”
Upon hearing “quiet,” Reltra gave Shin Si-ah a playful smile and left, saying, “Remember what I said.”
He then moved quickly away.
He moved to a private room, noticing Shin Si-ah’s face flushed red, and decided it would be the perfect place for a private conversation.
***
Once inside the private room, he immediately started explaining everything.
The story of Duke Pamur,
why he had decided to spare him instead of killing him,
and finally, what kind of deal Pamur had made with the Pope.
As he listed out these details, Shin Si-ah quickly wiped the embarrassed expression off her face and fell into deep thought, her face turning serious.
“The Pope and Duke Pamur made a deal… and they sacrificed their troops for each other…”
This was something that should never have happened.
She couldn’t come to a conclusion, struggling with the situation for a while, before finally sighing deeply and speaking.
“Not killing Duke Pamur seems like a good choice. As long as we hold the weakness over him about the deal, he won’t be able to betray us. We can use that leverage to extract every advantage from it…”
Shin Si-ah began listing the benefits they could gain, explaining them one by one.
However, the problem was that most of what Shin Si-ah mentioned involved “long-term strategies with minimal side effects”—things that took time to show results and didn’t offer instant rewards.
While those methods weren’t bad, he wasn’t particularly fond of them.
‘So let’s stop the conversation for now.’
He decided to tell her his own plan and slowly began to speak.
“Those ideas aren’t bad, but the problem is, they take too long.”
“That can’t be helped. If you act too aggressively when trying to gain control, the backlash will be strong. It’s better to take things slow at the start…”
“I’d like to take it slow, but there’s someone waiting for me at home.”
When he mentioned that someone was waiting, Shin Si-ah bit her lip and stared at him.
Considering the importance of the matter, the logical thing was for him to focus on it, but it seemed that telling him to work longer and give up on going home was a difficult decision for her.
“And most importantly, I don’t have to take responsibility for all this.”
“… Huh?”
Shin Si-ah stared at him with a look of surprise at his words.
He then reminded her of something she had forgotten.
“What I want is revenge on the Church and the Kingdom, not to possess them.”
World domination, ownership, governance.
If his goal had been something like that, it would have been right to proceed cautiously for proper posthumous management.
But his objective was clear: destruction.
He sought to burn everything down and trample it into nothingness.
‘So, as Shin Si-ah said, I really don’t have to worry about anything, nor take responsibility.’
He thought about it and then, turning it around, Shin Si-ah gave him a complex look before asking,
“… I’m just asking in case, but what will you do after you destroy the Kingdom and the Church?”
What would he do afterward?
He realized that he hadn’t really thought about it.
All his focus had been on revenge.
Leaning his chin in his hand, he responded as though it was obvious.
“I’ll probably go somewhere peaceful and live there, laughing with the ones I’m with.”
“Ah… Well, at least it’s good that you have something you want to do.”
“It’s not so much that I want to; it’s just what I have to do. There’s nothing else that needs to be done.”
“So, would you like to go back to Earth, or something like that?”
“Earth, huh…”
He was suddenly reminded of his life on Earth.
A life that was ordinary, uneventful, and weak.
If someone were to ask if he liked that life, well… it would be hard to say for sure.
‘At least, there were family members there.’
Whether it was because his mind had broken or because he had accepted that he could never see them again, he couldn’t tell.
He didn’t miss them deeply, just occasionally thought about them.
“I don’t really have any strong feelings about it. You seem to want to go, though?”
“Yeah, I guess so.”
The two of them were in completely different emotional spaces, so the silence between them was inevitable.
They had been through and felt such different things that it would be difficult to judge what was right or wrong in that moment.
As they shared the silence and respected each other’s thoughts, Shin Si-ah was the first to break the quiet.
“Still, living here isn’t all that bad. I’ve met Jeong-hyeon, and there’s Reltra and Lucia… and Hana’s so cute too.”
He chuckled softly at that.
“Really?”
“Yeah, yeah. So, if you go to relax later, can you take me with you? I feel like it’d be lonely being alone somewhere else.”
“Don’t worry. I was planning on taking you from the start.”
“… Really?”
“Yeah, really.”
Though it was said without much thought, Shin Si-ah looked pleased, blushing a little but trying to act composed as she spoke again.
“Ah, anyway, back to the main topic. So, what do you want to do?”
“What I want to do is pretty simple. You know the deal the Duke proposed?”
“Yeah, sending demons to the human world to be slaughtered by humans, right?”
He nodded and continued.
“Why don’t we infiltrate the demon army and, instead of the Church winning as originally planned, create a scene where the demons overwhelmingly win?”
Shin Si-ah, hearing this, gave him a look of admiration and spoke.
“… If we do that, it would certainly leave a huge impact. Additionally, we could shatter the Church’s belief in their invincibility and savior status.”
“That’s right.”
“That sounds like it could work, but… do you think you can do it alone? Won’t it be difficult?”
He chuckled softly at Shin Si-ah’s question and responded.
“Of course, I can do it.”
Shin Si-ah, seeing his confident answer, smiled slightly and turned her head away.
“I guess I was worrying for nothing. Anyway, I think you should discuss the details with Reltra. For now, just rest.”
“Alright.”
With those words, he turned to leave, but suddenly, Shin Si-ah called out to him, her face flushed red.
“Ah, and… I wasn’t going to say anything, but I think it’s better if I do…! I’ll just say it.”
Curious about what she was going to say, he turned around.
Shin Si-ah had covered her face with both hands and, shyly, said,
“Do you know that Reltra said that it’s good for Jeong-hyeon to, uh… no, that it’s good for Jeong-hyeon to take the lead sexually?”
So, she had known.
He nodded, realizing that his response had been far too obvious.
Shin Si-ah’s face turned even redder, and she continued, speaking more slowly.
“To be honest, right now, both of us are busy and have clear tasks to focus on, so… we can’t do anything for now. But, once everything is over, and everything is peaceful…”
She took a deep breath, then declared firmly.
“I’ll be the first to make Jeong-hyeon mine! So, get ready!”
That statement might have been the most shocking thing she had said since Lucia’s comment about “Jeong-hyeon’s baby being born.”
Standing there in shock, hearing Shin Si-ah’s unexpected declaration, he could only stare at her, speechless.
Shin Si-ah, wearing a strangely smug expression, spoke confidently,
“So… just wait a little while!”
What was he supposed to be waiting for?
He could only watch as Shin Si-ah walked away with those final words, leaving him in complete confusion.
Unable to stay composed, he sat down in a chair, squeezed his eyes shut, and tried to calm his racing mind.
‘I don’t know.’
To be honest, he didn’t find it bad or unpleasant.
There was no man who wouldn’t appreciate a beautiful girl saying she liked him.
‘And most importantly, I had already developed a certain fondness for her after all this time.’
So receiving a confession like that wasn’t a huge issue, but there was one thing that bothered him.
He couldn’t understand why Shin Si-ah liked him.
‘Why does she like me?’
All he had done was save her, right?
Of course, saving someone could create a sense of affection, but that didn’t necessarily translate into romantic feelings.
It was a little hard for him to make sense of it.
‘Maybe there’s something I don’t know.’
He decided he would have to talk to Shin Si-ah about it later, but for now, he focused on the next steps: a meeting with Reltra and heading back to face Pamur, carrying out the plans they had made.
He smiled to himself.
‘I wonder what kind of face the Pope will make.’
Would it be despair, rage, or maybe even sadness?
He looked forward to seeing which emotion the Pope would first express.
As he waited for Shin Si-ah to finish talking to Reltra, an interesting thought crossed his mind.
‘By the way, it would be fun to use Lea in this plan.’
Bishop Lea.
The one who had been a priest when he had been dragged around by the divine power bomb, one of the scumbags he had encountered during that time.
He thought it would be fun to send the Pope a special gift through Leah, deciding to use her in this plot.
With that, he took out Bishop Lea from the subspace pouch.
