Chapter 23

Sunlight streamed through the classroom windows, illuminating tiny dust particles floating in the air. White curtains by the windows fluttered gently in the breeze.

Felyn took several deep breaths and closed his eyes.

He could feel classmates around him talking about him, their gazes mixed with different emotions converging on him.

Though people usually gossiped behind his back, at least they didn't look at him with such expressions like today.

Had some new version of rumors appeared?

Felyn closed his notebook and stretched.

He'd studied happily all afternoon today.

Previously, Felyn had to spend time every day thinking of new ways to please Viloti.

Now he only needed to consider his studies.

"Student Felyn."

Felyn turned around to see a gloomy-faced classmate standing behind him.

Was this going to be school bullying?

"Student Viloti is looking for you."

As soon as these words were spoken, the classroom immediately fell silent.

Who didn't know Felyn was Viloti's devoted simp?

The things Felyn had done for Viloti couldn't be described in three days and nights.

But wasn't Viloti the aloof school beauty? How many male students didn't even dare approach her for conversation?

She was actually actively seeking out Felyn?

Felyn tilted his head and indeed saw distinctive pink hair standing at the doorway.

Like a cherry blossom tree radiating summer vibes in the afternoon.

"Viloti? Is there something you need?"

Felyn ignored those gazes and went to the doorway.

"Delivering books."

Viloti took out two notebooks she'd written from her bag and handed them to Felyn with both hands.

"Why deliver books?"

"I hope you get into the Royal Capital school."

Felyn was stunned. He saw expectation vaguely hidden in Viloti's eyes.

He couldn't have excessive relations with Viloti.

Felyn reached out to push those two books back.

But Viloti stubbornly extended her hands, using all her strength to try giving them to Felyn.

Just as the two were pulling back and forth, an angry roar came.

"What are you doing!"

Both their gazes turned toward the corner.

That familiar blonde appeared before them again.

Linda was furious.

The scumbag had appeared again.

From this look, he still wanted to give Viloti books?

Did he really think all girls fell for this routine!

Felyn watched Linda gradually approach, sighing inwardly.

This young lady had inexplicable hostility toward him since morning.

It wasn't incomprehensible though.

To use Linda to delay Adeline at the banquet, Felyn had investigated Linda's background.

This pure-hearted young lady had just been scammed out of 100,000 crowns in online romance.

She therefore hated lying men.

When Felyn was at Adeline's house, he'd seen chat records between Linda and her boyfriend.

He could tell at a glance her online romance partner was an old lady pretending to be a pure young man.

Linda was a complete romantic fool.

Presumably seeing him with Viloti reminded her of her own scamming experience.

"Viloti, you're being harassed by this man again, aren't you?"

Linda quickly walked to Viloti's side, gently embracing her and creating distance from Felyn.

The notebook in her hands was also tossed to Felyn by Linda.

"You're actually giving Viloti study notes? Don't you know what your grades are? Can't you think of better gifts?"

Viloti was about to say something, but seeing the notebook mysteriously end up in Felyn's hands, the corners of her mouth slightly turned up.

"Miss Linda, I'm not, I didn't."

"Still making excuses! Viloti, let's go. Don't talk to such lying scumbags. Men are really too disgusting!"

Linda grabbed Viloti's hand wanting to leave.

But she found Viloti standing in place, completely immovable.

She turned back to find Viloti looking at her with those cold eyes.

"Don't talk about Felyn like that!"

At these words, the air froze.

Students who had been lying by windows watching the show now knelt internally for ears that hadn't heard Viloti say this.

The aloof Viloti who belonged to everyone was now actually defending her simp Felyn.

The world had collapsed.

Linda stood in place, still holding Viloti's hand.

"Vi...Viloti?" Linda's voice was trembling. Her already romantically foolish brain couldn't process such unexpected situations.

"He's Felyn, not someone else. He's that annoying pursuer of yours..."

Linda tried to remind Viloti but found her own voice getting smaller and smaller.

"Felyn is a good person. Don't talk about him like that."

Viloti's heartbeat quickened. She wasn't used to so many people's gazes converging on her.

Her cheeks also began slightly flushing, like cherry blossoms imprinted on her.

Linda slowly let go, feeling hurt by the world once again.

What had happened between these two?

Wasn't Felyn Viloti's simp?

Could it be that he'd actually moved Viloti's heart through his devotion!

No no no, how was that possible?

But, but...

But Viloti's protective appearance—if not being moved, what was it!

Linda wanted to hold her head and scream.

She'd just wanted to rescue Viloti.

Unexpectedly, she'd been force-fed dog food by Viloti.

The class bell rang inappropriately at this moment.

"You people, what are you still doing here?"

Sofia, who was patrolling, saw so many people still gathered at this classroom's entrance.

And why were people from several neighboring classes lying nearby secretly watching?

Hearing the grade director's voice, students scattered.

Seeing Felyn and Viloti were the two people at the crowd's center, Sofia didn't find it strange.

Viloti actively seeking out Felyn was century-level big news.

According to Sofia's thinking, even gathering the whole school and having her lecture for three days and nights wouldn't be excessive.

"Teacher Sofia."

Sofia saw Linda walking toward her in a daze and couldn't help reaching out to embrace her.

I understand, I understand.

I was just like this moments ago.

Felyn stiffly returned to sit in the classroom. He didn't notice he still held Viloti's notebook and casually put it in his bag.

He really hadn't expected Viloti to say words defending him in front of those people.

She was just a fool with zero social and romantic experience.

Based on Felyn's experience, this young lady probably just felt he was too pitiful to also be criticized by Linda, so she defended him.

But in others' eyes, wasn't this totally a reversal power fantasy!

In places Felyn couldn't see, he could already feel that scene spreading throughout the entire academy through countless mouths and countless notes.

If Lord Silafiel found out his daughter actually had such rumors, Felyn would have no good days ahead.

Felyn doodled randomly on paper.

Speaking of which, if he performed slightly poorly in front of Daiyi's father, he'd also have no good days.

Was he conflicting with father-in-laws this year?

For the rest of the time, the school appeared peaceful on the surface but undercurrents surged.

Felyn walked out of school alone with his backpack under everyone's gazes.

But he didn't notice a cute pink figure following not far behind him.

Viloti watched Felyn's silhouette gradually merge with the sunset.

She hadn't managed to tell Felyn about going to his house for tutoring after school.

She needed to walk faster and catch up to talk with him.

Otherwise, by the time she walked further, Felyn would reach home, and approaching him then would be very impolite.
