Chapter 19

9 PM.

Like most nobles, Adeline left the banquet hall surrounded by family members.

"Lady Adeline, shall we depart?"

Adeline got into the car and took one last look at Silver Moon Valley.

Moonlight spilled over Silver Moon Valley's towering spires, the glass curtain walls reflecting gentle radiance like being draped in a layer of gauzy silver.

Night breezes gently blew, swaying tree shadows dancing on the ground, while distant fountains still sparkled with starlight in the moonlight.

"In the end, that guy Felyn still didn't make a single request."

Adeline said quietly in the car.

She felt like she owed him a lot.

Should she reward him with money again?

At least this time tonight, she couldn't reward him with money—this wasn't a transaction.

Adeline twirled her hair, thinking secretly.

He wanted to get into the Royal Capital Academy, right?

Then let this academically excellent young lady help him with tutoring.

Have him come to her house so she could teach him properly.

Or she could go to his house.

Adeline quickly shook her head.

How could she have thoughts of wanting to understand Felyn?

"Let's go," Adeline said to the driver.

The car slowly drove away, Silver Moon Valley's silhouette gradually blurring in view.

Finally merging into this starlit night.

Felyn also took one last look at the castle.

He probably wouldn't have another chance to enter such a place in the future.

A castle full of maids—absolutely wonderful!

Two moons, large and small, cast interwoven silver-white and pale blue misty radiance.

Felyn carried Daiyi's suitcase, walking ahead.

Unlike other young ladies, Daiyi had no guards, no servants around her.

"Speaking of which, Miss Daiyi, why did you suddenly think we should act like lovers in private too?"

Daiyi was stunned.

"This... that..."

She opened her mouth to say something but found herself stuttering, then pretended to adjust her skirt to hide her embarrassment.

"Actually, it's my father..."

She turned her head, her reddened cheeks faintly visible under her hair.

"My father thinks I'm lying. So he said he'll send someone to see if we're really a couple."

"Huh? Why didn't you say so earlier?"

This was troublesome now.

He hadn't expected that even being a male escort required exams.

"I saw you immersed in the joy of being able to pretend to be lovers with me, so I couldn't bear to shatter your beautiful dream," Daiyi still didn't dare look at Felyn.

Yeah right! You were clearly too embarrassed to say it.

"Miss Daiyi, may I ask—you didn't say anything strange about us to your father, did you?"

"Eh?"

Daiyi realized what he meant and blinked.

"You mean when I told my father I was pregnant?"

"Pregnant?!"

This Daiyi really knew how to fan flames!

As if afraid he might still keep his whole corpse.

Seeing Felyn's exaggerated expression, Daiyi burst into laughter.

"How could I say such a thing? Your reaction is too exaggerated."

Daiyi came to Felyn's side, showing a mischievous smile.

"I was just thinking—living with a beautiful girl like me, I highly suspect you have a high probability of losing control. But since I'm not as strong as you, I couldn't stop your beastly behavior. But pregnancy is absolutely not allowed."

"I told you I'm not that kind of person!"

Felyn was exhausted. This young lady was truly awful.

She swept her hair behind her, a faint rose fragrance passing by his nose.

Daiyi walked past Felyn forward, looking triumphant like a little fox whose prank had succeeded.

Mist District.

"It's somewhat bigger than I imagined. Quite unexpected."

Daiyi stood in front of Felyn's house, making this comment.

Whether it was flattery or if in Daiyi's mind he probably lived in a 5㎡ birdcage, regardless, this two-story small house with a yard bought after selling all the family's property wasn't very large anyway.

"Excuse the intrusion."

Daiyi greeted the empty house.

Felyn cleaned out a room for Daiyi.

"Sorry, my home conditions are limited."

"I'm the one imposing. Besides, I really like your home."

Daiyi wasn't lying.

She looked around curiously.

Several potted plants blooming beautifully sat on the windowsill.

Though the books on the shelf weren't numerous, they were neatly organized.

Even the coasters on the coffee table were carefully chosen styles.

This place was simple and ordinary, but didn't lack respect and love for life.

"Are there any places in this house I can't go?"

"Eh? No. Why do you ask?"

Felyn stopped what he was doing and looked up to ask.

"I'm afraid you might have a basement where you'd lock me up for life and never let me out. Or some rooms hiding girls," Daiyi said terrible things with no expression.

"Don't say such awful things!"

Felyn poked his head out of the room to protest.

Coming here to stay temporarily, yet saying such vicious things.

The bedroom wasn't large but very clean.

The sheets and bedding were all freshly changed.

"Speaking of which, since I'm living here now and receiving your full-time service, the compensation needs to be recalculated."

Daiyi propped her chin with one hand, calculating amounts.

"Hahaha, why calculate so clearly? How could our relationship be measured by money? How about just giving me quadruple salary, plus meal allowances, transportation fees, heat subsidies, year-end and perfect attendance bonuses, plus 10 days paid vacation and annual health checkups."

Felyn said his inner thoughts with a relaxed expression.

After hearing Felyn's long list of demands, Daiyi silently used her slender fingers to gently slip off her dress strap, revealing a section of snow-white shoulder.

Black hair slid from her shoulder, making that small patch of skin appear even more lustrous.

"Wait! I know it's a bit much, but we can negotiate! No need to pay with your body..."

Daiyi stopped her movement, confusion flashing in her dark green eyes, then seeming to understand something.

Her exquisite face remained expressionless, but her eyes held more mischief.

"What are you thinking?" she said flatly. "I'm just taking off this necklace."

She gently moved the strap aside, revealing a thin necklace.

Felyn smiled awkwardly, seeing Daiyi looking at him like he was an idiot.

"I wouldn't stoop to keeping you with my body," Daiyi said softly, the corners of her mouth slightly upturned, unclear if she was smiling or mocking.

"But you—are you very interested in my body?"

Daiyi pointed at her own cheek.

"Want me to say something to help set the mood? Should I call you big brother, or do you want to hear me call you something else?"

"That's really not necessary."

Having an absolutely beautiful girl constantly teasing him at home.

The scary part was that if he relaxed his guard even slightly, this person could succeed.

Then she'd definitely show a triumphant expression and ruthlessly humiliate him!

"This necklace should cover those fees you mentioned for several months."

Felyn took the valuable necklace, feeling it still carried a trace of Daiyi's body warmth.

"Thank you, boss!"

All of the boss's flaws could be forgiven with money.

Yay!

"I'm going to shower first. There aren't any strange holes in the bathroom walls, are there?"

"Of course not!"

This young lady definitely secretly read erotic books at night—how else could she know so much?

Felyn sat alone at the dining table, looking at things in his house that suddenly didn't belong to him.

Tonight was truly exhausting enough.

In various ways.

Having a client live in his own home—he wondered if this was right.

Since ending Viloti's contract, Felyn had to think more carefully about every step.

Felyn was no longer taking new clients.

After these clients' contracts ended, he planned to completely quit this line of work.

Go to the Royal Capital Academy to learn some divine arts, then find a small village where no one knew him, helping them use divine arts to chop wood, gather herbs, and fight monsters daily.

Then hire ten maids.

Just one wall away.

The bathroom filled with steamy air carrying a girl's scent.

Daiyi stood in the water, her wet hair limply clinging to her face.

Complex voices continuously emerged in her mind, making her body somewhat unsteady.

Daiyi remembered the looks her relatives gave her when she returned home.

Her red lips, still bearing water droplets, slightly parted as if to sigh.

But ultimately she didn't do so.

Can't sigh.

She thought this in her heart.
