“Mmm…”
Adelina rested her head against Felyn’s shoulder, her warm breath brushing right past his ear.
That soft, sweet murmur—so close and so intimate—drilled straight into Felyn’s brain.
“F-Felyn…”
Adelina’s voice trembled with uncertainty. She didn’t know what to say anymore.
Dorothy’s footsteps echoed just outside the wardrobe. Adelina could even hear her fingers brushing against the cabinet door.
In this situation, staying completely still was clearly the safest choice.
But…
This was the first time she’d ever been this close to Felyn. The first time someone had touched her there.
Wrapped in Felyn’s scent, her gaze began to grow unfocused.
Felyn could feel her racing heartbeat, the heat rising from her body.
In this narrow, dark, enclosed space… one of his hands was still resting on Adelina’s chest.
And because Dorothy was right outside, Adelina didn’t dare to move.
No matter how you looked at it, this was a scene straight out of a fantasy for Felyn.
And he wasn’t going to deny it.
He was a normal teenage boy. With one hand around a soft, slender waist, and the other pressed against a noble young lady’s chest… there was no way he could say, “I don’t feel anything. Clients are just walking ATM machines to me.”
Desire was normal. The important thing was how to handle it.
If he were just some average guy, maybe once Dorothy walked away, he’d try something shameless.
After all, Adelina looked especially tempting right now. Her half-lidded eyes shimmered with a dazed glow, her trembling body stirred up a powerful urge to hold her tight, and the soft scent of rose-tea hair floated all around her.
But Felyn wasn’t just some average guy.
He was here to provide a professional service.
Everything he did—everything—was to make his clients feel happier.
Girls had their own desires too. The key was that theirs were rooted in emotion.
If he could make Adelina feel safe, help her feel respected rather than violated, her anxiety would gradually fade.
He slowly released the arm holding her waist and gently placed his other hand on the top of her head, brushing his fingers through her soft rose-tea hair.
“Hang in there, Adelina,” he whispered softly into her ear, his tone calm and steady.
“Mhm…”
So they stayed there like that—Felyn inside the wardrobe, one hand gently petting her head, the other still… resting on her chest.
The pose was awkward, to say the least, but the warmth and rhythm of his touch helped calm Adelina. She wasn’t trembling as much now.
Dorothy’s footsteps began to fade. It seemed the princess hadn’t noticed anything out of the ordinary.
“Miss Daiyi, it’s about time. Let’s head back,” Dorothy’s voice called from outside.
As he heard the rustling of people gathering their things, Felyn exhaled deeply in relief.
“Whew…”
He carefully put some distance between them, sliding his hand away from Adelina’s chest. But that warm, soft feeling remained etched in his memory.
After such close contact, the first thing to do wasn’t to savor it—but to ask how the client felt.
“Adelina… that was an accident. I didn’t mean to.”
He looked her straight in the eye, trying his best to appear sincere.
Adelina slowly lifted her teary gaze. Through the faint sliver of light from the wardrobe crack, Felyn caught a glimpse of her delicate, flushed face.
“Felyn… you… you bullied me…”
She wasn’t even sure what part of it had been “bullying,” and she knew deep down that it hadn’t been intentional.
Truthfully, she didn’t dislike it.
We’re going to be husband and wife someday anyway… So him touching me a little early isn’t that big a deal… right?
Even so, being touched like that for the first time had left her feeling shy… and embarrassed.
She just wanted Felyn to react—to say something, or do something. Anything.
Of course, Felyn picked up on what she was thinking. He pulled her gently into his chest, letting her forehead rest against him.
“Sorry, Adelina. Things were a little chaotic just now. But I’ll take responsibility, okay? You can tell me to do anything. Whatever it takes to make you feel safe again.
I’ll take responsibility.
Those words caused her flustered embarrassment to morph into something else entirely.
Take responsibility… Does he mean… forever?
Outside, the sound of the box door closing confirmed that the princess and Daiyi had left.
“F-Felyn… do you really mean it? Will you take responsibility for me?”
Even with the room cleared, Adelina still clung tightly to his waist, unwilling to let go.
“Y-Yeah… Anything you want me to do.”
Felyn was still trying to calm her down. The last thing he wanted was for her to feel awkward or upset about what had happened.
“Anything, huh… And you won’t get mad?”
“I won’t.”
As soon as the words left his mouth, Felyn regretted them.
What if she’s like one of those girls in novels who just chops it off with a knife?
But… she doesn’t seem like that kind of person, right?
While his mind was spiraling, he suddenly felt his collar being tugged down.
The next second, all he could see was rose-tea hair.
Something warm and soft touched his cheek.
Adelina had closed her eyes, stood on tiptoe, and gently pressed her lips to his face.
“T-There. That makes us even,” she whispered.
“This is over and done with now.”
She forced herself to meet his gaze.
I-I mean, there’s nothing embarrassing about kissing my future husband, right?!
“…That’s it?” Felyn smiled softly, rubbing her head, “If that’s the punishment, I think I got off easy. I touched a beautiful girl’s chest and still got a kiss in return. That doesn’t seem fair. You can hit me if you want.”
“Y-You dummy!”
Adelina gave him a light punch in the chest, her voice soft and syrupy.
But she hadn’t noticed the slight stiffness in Felyn’s smile.
He wasn’t stupid.
Even if he pretended to be clueless, it was clear enough what had happened.
When a prim and proper noble girl’s first instinct after being groped isn’t to slap you, but to kiss you?
That meant only one thing.
Adelina had fallen for him.
Just like Zervanie, she had fallen for the “fantasy version” of him.
“…Let’s get out of here. It’s too hot,” Felyn said, opening the wardrobe door and stepping out.
He wasn’t happy—not even a little.
There was nothing to celebrate about this.
He’d already dealt with this with Viloti and Zervanie. Now he had to figure out what to do with Adelina.
And then there was the contract—set to expire in just a few months.
Should he vanish like he did with Zervanie?
Or keep his distance, like with Viloti?
He didn’t have the answer.
So, for now, he decided not to think about it.
There were more immediate concerns.
Daiyi… or some other client could walk into the box at any moment.
Honestly, even if Zervanie herself jumped off the stage and came charging in, Felyn wouldn’t be surprised.
“That was way too close…” Adelina fanned her flushed face with her hands.
“Felyn, I’m heading out now.”
Her hand lingered on his chest for a moment before sliding away.
She didn’t want to leave, but her rational side told her she had to.
“Okay. I’ll see you later at the villa in the Dunk District.”
Adelina nodded, adjusted her dress, and left the private box.
Felyn watched her go, his heart heavy with mixed emotions.
He couldn’t help but think about what was coming.
This is going to be a problem…
But before he could process it further, that problem was pushed aside—
Because a bigger one showed up.
As Adelina opened the box door… a pair of pinkish-purple twin-tails appeared in the doorway.
“I forgot my bag—wait… Miss Adelina? And… who is this gentleman?”
Princess Dorothy stood at the entrance, staring at Adelina—still blushing with obvious girlish shyness—then shifted her gaze to Felyn behind her.
