Beautiful.
Too beautiful.
Knowing that the soul she loved and trusted would be forever bound to her… that very thought made Felyn’s body radiate an irresistible allure that Dorothy simply couldn’t resist.
Was this love?
Brother Felyn had once said:
“If you like someone, you’ll want to be with them every moment of the day.”
Dorothy slowly sat upright, both hands cupping her burning cheeks.
Her legs clamped tightly around Felyn’s waist.
Brother Felyn looked… beautiful like this.
His hands were bound, but he still moved in sync with her.
She adored him like this—helpless, but hers.
Dorothy’s heart pounded faster and faster.
She knew this was exactly what she had always wanted.
But it wasn’t enough.
No matter how strong physical chains were, they could always be unlocked.
Only chains of the souls would last forever.
Brother Felyn, we still have a long, long time.
I’ll take my time… slowly, piece by piece… until your entire life is filled with nothing but my shadow.
Felyn was scared.
Really scared now.
Dorothy’s purple eyes glowed under the moonlight with a forbidden, ominous gleam.
She had once told him her magical affinity with the Demon King far exceeded that of normal royalty, dozens of times stronger.
She might even become the Demon King’s proxy in the mortal realm.
But this was the first time Felyn had seen her magic begin to spill out of control—so tangible, so real.
Was it because I lied to her? Is that why she’s… going dark?
His thoughts scattered as Dorothy moved again.
She leaned forward.
Propping herself up on the bed, her pinkish-purple hair cascaded down, brushing softly against Felyn’s cheek.
Two perfect faces, separated only by a layer of moonlight.
Felyn lay frozen, watching as Dorothy’s face hovered just inches above his.
“D-Dorothy, how about we take a little break? You must be tired too…”
“No, Brother Felyn.”
Her voice no longer sounded like the sweet princess from before.
She leaned in, gently sniffed his cheek, then rubbed hers against his.
Felyn could feel everything.
Her breath was warm and damp against his neck.
Her soft skin pressed against his chest.
Dorothy’s gaze fixed on his throat.
She bit her lip, then lowered her head.
A wet, velvety sensation touched his skin.
A shiver ran down his spine, electrifying his nerves.
This wasn’t just a kiss.
It was a possessive mark.
“Dorothy… can you calm down for a second?” Felyn began to struggle.
“Why, Brother Felyn? Don’t you like being close to me like this?”
“Of course I do! But your magic is starting to spiral out of control. You’re not thinking clearly. I can’t take advantage of you like this.”
Dorothy tilted her head.
Magic out of control?
So that’s what he thinks.
He thinks this is all because of a magical overflow.
But this. this is the real me.
Just as she was about to explain, a sudden knock shattered the charged silence.
Felyn nearly cried with relief.
He wanted to call out for help, but then remembered.
If anyone saw him in the princess’s chambers, he was as good as dead.
So he clamped his mouth shut.
“Who is it?” Dorothy’s tone was sharp.
“Your Highness, we heard some noise from your room just now—”
“I dropped something.”
“…But our magical seal detection devices registered a spike in magic levels. Would you mind opening the door so we can run a full inspection?”
“No!”
Dorothy gripped Felyn’s neck tighter, her chest pressing against his face until he could barely breathe.
“Brother Felyn was about to leave me again… Why? Why are they always ruining my time with Brother Felyn?!”
Her body began to tremble. Her voice turned sharp.
“Anyone who tries to stop me from being with Brother Felyn—I won’t forgive them…”
“Whoever it is, if they get in the way, they can just—”
Dorothy stopped herself.
She didn’t finish the sentence: go die.
It wasn’t that she couldn’t say it.
She just didn’t want to say it in front of Felyn.
Even though her behavior tonight had already been anything but ladylike…
That line, at least, couldn’t be said.
If Felyn heard her say something so awful, he might really think she was just a spoiled, violent princess.
But all she wanted… was to stay with him forever.
“Dorothy… let’s stop here for tonight.”
Felyn gently patted her shoulder. Slowly, she relaxed.
If the guards saw a man in the princess’s room, it would be bad for both of them.
“I’ll make up the rest of your service time later, okay?”
At last, Dorothy let go of him.
Felyn finally escaped from beneath her chest—nearly suffocated.
“Brother Felyn… you’re not going to avoid me after this, are you?”
She murmured beside him, softly stroking his cheek.
“Of course not. Our contract still has a few months left. Besides, I can’t afford that enormous breach penalty.”
A flicker of sadness passed through Dorothy’s eyes. She bit her lower lip, her slender fingers trembling slightly before falling into her lap.
She reached forward… and finally undid the handcuffs binding them.
A moment later, the door opened.
The anxious guards outside straightened up instantly.
Dorothy stood before them, arms folded gently over her chest.
Her shawl draped neatly over her shoulders, covering the skin she had just shown Felyn moments ago.
The guards activated their detection devices, scanning the entire room from top to bottom.
“We apologize, Princess Dorothy. There was an intense surge of magical energy detected in your chambers just now. We had to confirm your safety.”
“It’s alright. In fact, thank you all for protecting me so late at night.”
Dorothy reached into the room and brought out several bags of snacks, handing them to the guards.
“There’s nothing dangerous in here—just a few little treats. I hope you don’t mind.”
“It’s an honor to serve Her Highness!”
The guards bowed, eyes shining with admiration and respect.
As expected of the beloved angel of the Siveshus Empire—
Her Highness, Princess Dorothy!
Once the guards were gone, Dorothy’s sweet smile vanished.
Her fingers dug into the couch cushions, leaving deep impressions behind.
Too many people in this palace.
If only… there were fewer.
…
Dorothy threw herself back onto the bed, breathing in the lingering warmth where Felyn had just been lying.
If the guards ever try to stop me from seeing him again…
Then I’ll make them disappear.
If my brothers get in the way of our time together…
Then I’ll marry them all off into obscure churches—never to return.
If the nobles and royals oppose me…
Dorothy carefully listed them in her mind.
There were too many people trying to keep her from Felyn.
And once she started helping him more publicly…
Even if she used just a tiny bit of royal power, The rest of the court would start asking questions.
Maybe it would just be easier… if I became the ruler of Siveshus.
That way, no one could ever interfere with me and Brother Felyn again.
Then this entire palace would belong to us.
And it wouldn’t matter how loud we got.
Dorothy stood from the bed and walked to her usual spot by the window.
She sat down, gazing out at the moon-drenched garden.
Right. I still need to explain myself to him.
Tonight was a bit impulsive.
I should’ve waited until I had everything perfectly prepared for him—
Until he truly couldn’t live without me.
Then… then I could be close to him.
But who could hold back?
When I saw Brother Felyn struggling under me like that.
There was no way I could wait even a second longer…
