Felyn stood downstairs at the restaurant Adeline had reserved, marveling at how small and insignificant humans could seem.
He looked around—there were only sheets of water curtain walls surrounding him, and he couldn’t even find the entrance to the restaurant.
But the harder it was to find the way in, the more stylish the place seemed.
Just then, a car that looked expensive slowly approached and stopped below.
The emblem of the Claude family was printed on the side of the car, immediately drawing the attention of everyone nearby.
The car door opened slowly, and a foot in high heels stepped gracefully onto the ground, the gemstone at the tip of the shoe reflecting a dazzling light.
Next, Adeline stepped out of the car.
She wore a dark blue Chanel-style dress, the bow at her waist not only outlining her slim figure, but also accentuating her proud chest.
With soft pink lip gloss, tempting blush, and carefully styled voluminous waves full of aura, Adeline was undeniably the star of the night in Homhot.
The moment she appeared, nobles nearby all started to move toward the vehicle, but due to the sharp gazes of the guards surrounding her, no one dared to get too close.
Adeline’s eyes searched through the crowd, and the moment her grayish-blue eyes found Felyn, they lit up.
"Felyn!"
Adeline lifted her skirt and ran toward Felyn with light steps.
"Did you wait long?" she asked, slightly out of breath, a sweet smile on her face.
"Not at all, I just arrived too." Felyn glanced at Adeline, quickly taking in her outfit for the night.
"Adeline, you look really beautiful tonight. The color of this dress suits your look perfectly."
Unlike Bernice and Viloti, Adeline was a true client.
Felyn didn’t need to deliberately flatter the other two, but when it came to Adeline, praise was necessary.
Besides, Adeline really did look amazing tonight.
"Really?" The uneasiness in Adeline’s eyes was replaced by joy, "Because I was going to see you tonight, I dressed up a little."
"You look so good I don’t even want others to see you."
Adeline appeared in public and was seen by others.
Felyn blurted it out.
"You're terrible, that’s a bit much!" Even though Adeline said that, she still couldn’t hide the smile on her face.
"Shall we go up?"
Felyn felt Adeline’s hand rise and fall by his side. Every time her body brushed against his shoulder, she would jump away like a startled fawn, only to come close again shortly after.
Tonight, Adeline seemed conflicted.
Felyn could more or less guess: she wanted to be close to him, but due to her noble status, it wasn’t convenient to act openly in front of others.
"Adeline, is there anywhere you want to go tonight?"
"There are quite a few places, actually."
Adeline pulled a small notebook out of her bag—she had stayed up late last night making this plan.
Buying clothes, jewelry, armor, and Technique Seals. Anything Felyn might like, Adeline wrote down in the notebook.
This exceptional young lady had memorized the location of every shop in Homholt three days in advance.
There were so many places she wanted to go, so many things she wanted to buy for Felyn, yet time was extremely limited.
How could she not plan ahead?
"Adeline, this restaurant tonight must be really expensive. Is it okay for you to bring me here?"
"It’s not expensive. This place is owned by my family."
"Oh, right, my bad for asking."
"Hello, are you Miss Adeline?"
Felyn heard a calm and gentle female voice.
"I’m your maid for the evening, Mirian. Welcome. I’ll lead the two of you upstairs."
Felyn turned his head suddenly, and saw that familiar green hair and long pointed ears.
No way, she is here too?
Mirian’s originally short green hair had now become elegant wavy curls.
It must be a wig.
She had taken off the maid outfit from the dessert shop, and the restaurant’s formal wear surprisingly suited her.
The moment Mirian looked up and saw Felyn, her mouth twitched slightly.
"Please follow me." She stepped aside slightly, making a “please” gesture, but her eyes glanced meaningfully at Felyn.
Felyn followed behind Adeline, doing his best to cover his face with his hand.
This had to be one of the most embarrassing situations in the world.
What was this feeling of being caught red-handed?
He could only pray in his heart that Mirian hadn’t recognized him. If she slipped up and said something, he’d be doomed.
Under Mirian’s lead, Felyn and Adeline were seated in a private room.
In front of them, she activated a Sound Isolation Seal, signaling that no one outside would be able to hear their conversation.
"Felyn, can you sit next to me today?"
Adeline patted the seat beside her, asking for his opinion.
The smile in Mirian’s eyes became visibly excited.
What’s going on here?
Isn’t this the same guy from this afternoon?
Didn’t he have a date with that super cute pink-haired girl earlier today?
And now he’s going on a date with Lady Adeline at night?
And judging from the looks of it, Lady Adeline seems to have quite the feelings for him.
He’s got it made!
Felyn seemed to realize what Mirian was thinking but couldn’t do anything.
Beside him, Adeline’s rose-tea-colored hair fell gently over her chest, rising and falling with the curve of her body.
He hadn’t noticed it outdoors earlier, but now Felyn realized Adeline smelled very nice.
Unlike Viloti’s girlish scent, Adeline’s fragrance carried a more mature allure.
But no matter how mature she seemed, Adeline was still a newly-of-age girl, with sweetness and shyness lingering on her.
"These dishes are good. Felyn, is there anything else you’d like to add?"
"These are enough."
Adeline handed the menu to Mirian, then glanced at Felyn.
"Felyn, I’m going to the restroom."
She had just realized she broke a sweat when she ran downstairs to meet him earlier.
Adeline didn’t want Felyn to see her looking anything less than perfect, she had to touch up her makeup.
"Mm, I’ll wait for you here, Adeline." Felyn nodded and watched her leave.
The moment Adeline disappeared through the door, Mirian leaned in with a smile that was a little… shady.
"Guest, you went to the Witch of Karine’s Dessert Shop this afternoon, didn’t you?"
"No," Felyn replied with a straight face.
"There was a super cute pink-haired girl next to you, wasn’t there?"
"No."
"You still have her scent on your lips. I’m an elf. I can smell it."
What kind of overpowered skill is this?
That nose was ridiculous.
Mirian saw Felyn go quiet and got even more excited.
"Guest, Mr. Felyn—no, Lord Felyn! How did you do it? Two dates with two super beautiful girls in one day! Tell me! Ahhhh!"
"Don’t get so close! You’re so annoying. Why are you everywhere?"
Felyn shoved away Mirian, whose eyes were practically sparkling.
"What can I do…"
Mirian wiped her eyes. "This afternoon, a customer took advantage of a tiny mistake I made and bullied me. They hit me, scolded me, and made me kneel and apologize, then demanded ten limited-edition dessert coupons from me—that’s half a year’s salary, boohoo… I had no choice but to come work here instead."
"If you keep going, I’ll report you again—for sexual harassment this time."
"Wait, what?!"
Mirian panicked. What was wrong with this guy? Why didn’t he follow the script?
Just as she tried to explain, the sound of high heels echoed from outside, and she had to drop the subject.
The Sound Isolation Seal was one-way—people inside could still hear outside.
Mirian bowed respectfully as Adeline entered, then left the room.
But her heart was far from calm.
Elven instinct told her she was not going to give up.
The private room quieted down again. While waiting for their food, Adeline leaned a little closer to Felyn.
"Felyn, do you have any plans next week?" Adeline’s rose-tea hair brushed lightly over his shoulder.
"Next week? I don’t think I have anything going on."
"I have to go to the royal capital next week. I… I want you to come with me. Is that okay?"
Felyn’s heart skipped a beat.
The royal capital?
