Chapter 110

Zervanie didn’t know how long she had been kneeling on the ground.

Her mind was completely empty of thoughts.

The sound of Felyn’s departing footsteps kept looping in her head, circling her heart, pricking at it painfully.

Zervanie had to admit a truth:

Felyn might truly leave her.

“Lady Zervanie? Is this Lady Zervanie? What’s wrong with you?!”

A passerby finally noticed the injured Zervanie.

Zervanie felt someone approach her side, and instinctively, she forced a smile.

What a hateful feeling.

Even though my heart is in such pain, I still have to keep smiling.

On Wednesday night, Felyn had some free time.

After bidding farewell to Viloti, Felyn’s mood was a bit heavy, so he returned to a place he had frequented over the past few years.

The hospital—the contamination ward.

The purpose was a disquieting hospital room, yet it brought Felyn a trace of peace.

He changed the water in the vase, placing a newly bought bouquet of flowers inside.

The world was reduced to the ticking sound of the treatment seal device.

Watching Olivia’s steady breathing as she lay on the bed, Felyn finally felt a hint of tranquility.

Over these years, Olivia seemed to have never changed, like a princess forgotten by time.

Her slightly curled golden hair framed her fair face, creating an almost ethereal beauty.

“A lot has really happened lately, hasn’t it?” Felyn gently touched Olivia’s head, as if hearing a soft voice from her.

“If you woke up now, Olivia, you’d probably be shocked, wouldn’t you? So many ladies are tangled up with me.”

As usual, Felyn began talking to himself.

Saying these things felt almost like bragging, haha.

“But honestly, I’m not in the best mood today.”

Zervanie’s actions had left him a bit irritated.

Adeline, after getting drunk, had said,

“After the contract ends, will you still love me?”

Zervanie, too, kept pestering him.

Who’s next?

Miss Daiyi? Princess Dorothy?

Or someone else entirely?

Being liked by beautiful girls might have made the old Felyn happy.

But the ones they liked now weren’t really him.

Just like Zervanie, what she loved was merely the perfectly obedient version of himself.

And Adeline only liked him because he filled the void of her childhood regrets.

Perhaps for young ladies of their age, love was the most important thing in their minds.

But for Felyn, love was nothing more than an unreliable matter.

Debt, medical treatment, his future, his studies, every single one was far more important than romance.

Love was the true luxury.

And honestly, would anyone really like me?

Would anyone like me?

Burdened with massive debt, with mediocre grades,  his days are filled with nothing but work and no other hobbies.

Aside from coaxing girls, he had no real talents.

No head for business, no courage to take action, just surviving was already taking everything he had.

Whenever he saw his reflection in the eyes of these young ladies,

Felyn would wonder, “Is this me?”

Am I someone who cares for everyone around me?

Am I someone who holds kindness for everyone?

Am I someone who gives willingly without ever getting angry?

No, I’m not.

I’m just an ordinary person.

I have physical reactions when I see a young lady’s exposed body.

I’ve secretly cursed them behind their backs for their unreasonable demands.

I’m just an utterly ordinary person.

Why do they all think so highly of me?

Felyn had been scolded by clients before.

It was nothing more than the client realizing, the real him wasn’t the idealized version they’d imagined, and in their anger, they did something excessive.

Of course, that client ended up paying compensation.

But for Felyn, he hadn’t done anything wrong, yet he was made the one at fault.

This, ironically, was quite similar to Zervanie, Felyn mocked himself inwardly.

Being seen as a perfect vessel for others’ expectations, this might be the only thing he and Zervanie had in common.

Felyn gently stroked Olivia’s head, feeling her warmth.

Here, he felt a sense of escape from the world, his entire being able to relax.

He couldn’t explain why he felt this way, perhaps it was because of Olivia.

After all, she was a girl who seemed so gentle.

If Olivia were to wake up, he might actually get along with her pleasantly.

At the very least, she wouldn’t be like his group of young lady clients, each with their own issues, big or small.

“Enough of that. I have a lot to do tomorrow, and being too down isn’t right.”

Felyn stood up and stretched, feeling his bones creak and pop.

“In the morning, I have to accompany Bernice, in the afternoon, it’s Viloti, and just now, Adeline sent me a message, so I have to spend the evening with her. I’m really working hard…”

No!!

Olivia, whose body still couldn’t move, screamed in her mind:

Brother… Brother…

Brother… My Brother…

Ah…

Olivia could feel Felyn’s gentle fingers weaving through her hair, that soft touch making her entire body hypersensitive.

Brother—

She whispered in the depths of her consciousness,

So gentle… so comfortable,

…Please don’t stop…

Ah… it’s coming so quickly this time.

Felyn suddenly noticed Olivia’s breathing becoming rapid and heated, her warm breath lightly brushing against the back of his hand.

“Huh? A fever?”

He quickly touched her forehead, but didn’t feel anything unusual.

Yet at that moment, a captivating flush spread across Olivia’s fair cheeks, and even her long lashes were trembling slightly.

“Olivia?!”

Felyn glanced at the treatment seal device, which showed no reaction, indicating Olivia’s body wasn’t in serious trouble.

But what was going on with her?

Pinkish sweat beaded on her forehead, slowly sliding down her perfect collarbone.

Felyn didn’t know that his touch on Olivia’s body had caused an overwhelming shock to this beautiful girl possessed by an evil god.

So good, so good, so good, so good, so good!

Seeing something was clearly wrong with Olivia,

Felyn brushed aside her sweat-dampened bangs, slowly leaning down, wanting to more accurately check her temperature.

The moment his forehead gently touched hers, a strange warmth radiated from the contact.

Olivia’s body temperature was higher than he’d expected, but not enough to cause alarm.

Brother?!

Yes—just press yourself against me like this,

I can’t take it, I can’t take it,

Come to me, Brother!

She could feel Felyn’s warm breath grazing her cheeks, that intimate closeness making her entire body melt.

Their breaths intertwined, each of Olivia’s exhales carrying a hint of sweet allure.

No, no, I can’t,

This feeling is too intense!

If Felyn had stood up at that moment, he would have seen Olivia’s toes tightly curled and her thighs pressed together.

As her body trembled in waves, Olivia completely lost consciousness.

She had passed out from the rush.

“Hm? She seems okay now?”

Seeing Olivia’s expression return to calm, Felyn’s worried heart settled.

Perhaps Olivia was struggling against the evil god’s consciousness, which must be incredibly painful.

Felyn had heard that the closer a contaminated person was to waking, the more their own consciousness would clash with the evil god’s, causing great suffering.

After chatting a bit more with the unconscious Olivia, Felyn’s mood lightened considerably.

Felyn had no friends, let alone anyone he could truly open up to.

Pouring his heart out in this small hospital room was already more than enough for him.

“I’ve got to get to work, Olivia. Here’s hoping nothing goes wrong in Homhot tomorrow.”

In her unconscious haze,

Olivia vaguely heard Felyn’s voice.

Safe travels, Brother.
