I’m sending pieces of Yasle’s memories to people little by little.
Of course, memories aren’t like watching a movie or drama where everything is connected smoothly.
It’s closer to a wiki. Human memory is a huge chunk of information composed of clusters and connections.
However, it doesn’t come out neatly organized. When you pick up and lift necessary information from a memory, it doesn’t just bring up the needed information, but emotions and other past events come out hanging on it.
If you cut those off, you lose context somewhere and can’t read the overall meaning.
Fortunately, there is some division to an extent.
For example, this part is about the first love letter, or this part is about an incident where you were caught doing something so embarrassing you felt like dying.
Among those, I picked up all the memory chunks of the event when he summoned me. And instead of giving up on extracting the necessary information from there, I’m throwing the entire memory bit by bit while gradually increasing the amount.
But I’m not sure.
Whether this is working well or not.
So we need to experiment.
* * *
A lot of time passed while experimenting.
Shall we summarize what happened in the meantime?
First, Tis and the soldiers of the Kingdom of Anselus learned about the tragedy of the capital disappearing in Anselus. And they also understood that the cause was none other than the Future Hope Church.
Wide had already begun to lay the foundations of the kingdom, albeit clumsily.
He gathers people around him, forces them to make him king, and takes resources by force. So it’s hard for those around not to know.
To be honest, Wide almost entirely took over the system the Future Hope Church used.
But he doesn’t seem to know that religion and state are very different, even if they look similar.
It can’t be helped since that’s all he learned by watching.
Rather, since the reality he learned by watching was distorted, Tis, who judged that it was strange, is clearly a heretic.
He penetrates the truth without having learned it and runs in the right direction. He’s an alien type of person, the kind that’s difficult to appear normally.
And people attach titles like hero or great person to such people.
Tis thought that Wide and the blessed people would live well somehow. Even if the method is slightly different, with overwhelming violence, that can be overlooked.
But it’s creaking more than expected.
The reason can be roughly guessed.
It’s become difficult to grasp the surrounding situation because all those who could look around died last time.
It means they lost the eyes that could see far.
That rolls little by little like a snowball starting to roll down a slope.
And a phenomenon that became a big slope overlapped there.
There were some I drove mad and killed before, and it seems they misunderstood that their end was approaching.
The number of people trembling, saying they might suddenly die at any time, is increasing one by one.
To use a game analogy, the fear of death is gradually lowering their mental stats, negatively affecting Wide’s rule. And in this situation, they need an enemy to fight.
It’s a method of turning fear into hatred or dislike and projecting it outward.
It’s also a method many rulers once used.
And coincidentally, an enemy is coming.
To reclaim the country, to avenge fallen comrades.
Of course, not all Anselus people are like that.
Besides them, there are also people who move purely out of greed or for their own well-being.
They are the lords. But the people, circumstances, and loyalty vary for each domain.
Everyone knows that an army full of superhumans is very difficult to face. This means that not only those who went to the underground temple in the Skard Rocky Desert, but also the lords know it well.
They also know that to confront them, they need to go around the surrounding domains, gather soldiers, and attack all at once.
So they joined Tis.
For their own desires.
Of course, I’m moving for my desire too.
Meanwhile, Andrew and Witga also established a pseudo-religion called the Miriga Order in the east. And they’re running the pseudo-religion based on the methods learned from the Future Hope Church. Unlike Wide who clumsily imitates, they do it in a very sophisticated way.
I’m curious about what they’ll do next, but it’s difficult to know immediately since neither of them received my blessing.
It’s a bit frustrating not knowing what the two people who are the heads are thinking.
But Andrew and Witga. Both have subordinates. And those are people who received my blessing.
Therefore, I can see the actions of the two. In addition, they explain to their subordinates what they will do next. Even if what they said isn’t the entire plan, it’s not difficult to guess what they want to do.
Andrew learned how to run a pseudo-religion more sophisticatedly from the Future Hope Church, and he’s full of thoughts about trying it out now.
Witga wants to invade the Kingdom of Kogni. Before I accidentally blew away a few people, someone among the blessed who could see far away told him what Wide was doing.
So he knows that Yasle is dead, and that there’s no longer anyone giving blessings.
But there’s no one who can see far away anymore.
There’s no map hack.
They have to move forward illuminating the map again.
Speaking of things not yet revealed, I don’t know the whereabouts of Rebecca Rolfe and Hyunkeshuni either.
Maybe they’re living somewhere?
In this way, I watched people while gradually unraveling Yasle’s knowledge.
In the middle, thinking I might be expanding the capacity too sneakily, I increased it sharply and failed again.
This time too, several blessed people broke down.
They’re confused about who they are. It’s not that they think they’re Yasle. They just can’t recognize people or objects as if they have severe dementia, and they say things that don’t fit the context.
Their behavior is also strangely twisted, falling over by themselves on an empty floor.
It’s like symptoms of dementia.
So I quickly modified the experiment.
I sharply reduced the memories I was sending again.
I lost valuable people.
But it wasn’t all bad.
Success cases are starting to appear little by little.
Of course, they haven’t reached the level where they can call me.
But people who can use the magic Yasle used have appeared. I thought they would be able to do something after sending all the memories, but they’re using his techniques even though I haven’t sent even half of half yet.
I couldn’t understand even after looking at Yasle’s memories from beginning to end. But it seems they were able to interpret and use the techniques Yasle used with just part of the knowledge I gave.
Of course, it’s very basic technique compared to Yasle’s standard, but the important thing is that they used it.
We’ve taken one step closer.
This means that by infusing Yasle’s memories, we can go up there.
Hehe.
We can go up again.
If we cross over, whether it’s a pseudo-religion or any organization or individual, creating an environment where warmth can be supplied will be the challenge.
At least it’s better than not being able to go at all.
If we go, we’ll have to work hard to persuade people to get warmth.
You ask if we can brainwash if we can put information in their heads?
Fortunately or unfortunately, people with strong egos are not affected by my influence. From the beginning, changing the body when giving a blessing is all there is.
So using methods like brainwashing after blessing has too much risk.
Especially since there’s no room for excuses if caught.
From the beginning, I can watch from inside, but I’ve never led thoughts or ideas in a specific direction.
At least until now.
That’s how it was.
Of course, from now on, I’ll twist hard if I can. Because that’s how I can go up there!
First, little by little from parts where I can leave room for excuses.
I need practice.
Thinking about what to do in the future like this or sending pieces of Yasle’s memories little by little, I watched that world flow by.
Then finally, one person reached the stage where they could attempt summoning.
At this point, a lot of time had passed since the Future Hope Church disappeared.
Of course, many things happened in between.
I’ll explain in chronological order.
First, the remnants of the Kingdom of Anselus and the people led by Wide fought a big battle.
And the Kingdom of Anselus recaptured the capital. But they couldn’t kill Wide. He fought in the royal castle, and when he was pushed back in the fight, he fled with his followers.
Superhuman abilities can actually be better demonstrated when fleeing rather than when trying to kill someone.
When Wide chose to escape, about 40 blessed people were all injured but escaped alive.
In other words, they defeated Wide.
Tis became a hero of the Kingdom of Anselus because of this.
He really fought sacrificing his body to protect people in that battle. The steps he took at that time were so impressive to the Anselus people that they elevated him to a hero.
Meanwhile, Wide harbored intense resentment towards Tis. Listening to him speak from his perspective, it seems he’s very displeased that Tis, who was always a loser at the bottom, defeated him.
But cracks also appeared in the group Wide was leading.
The defeat was fatal. Because Wide had stood at the very top through violence.
So when that power was broken, a lot of the authority he had held flew away.
He lacked dominance.
A defeated leader is a suitable target for shifting responsibility. A big crack formed in Wide’s group, and eventually about fifteen people took the opportunity to escape.
If there had been a blessed person who could explore distant places, there might have been a possibility to prevent it, but they had all died long ago. So Wide could only watch it happen.
Then he began to dominate the remaining people more violently. And Wide shifted all responsibility to Tis who had made him like this.
Somehow Andrew approached him who had become like this.
He was processed just right to be eaten.
A person with their head full of one thought is easy prey for a pseudo-religion. Moreover, there was a past where Andrew had been above Wide in position. So it was very easy for Wide to accept Andrew.
Wide joined the Miriga Order.
And there, Wide met Isla again. Isla had been following Witga all along.
It became like when the Future Hope Church existed.
Andrew who wants to expand the order, Witga who wants to destroy the Kingdom of Kogni, Wide who wants to destroy the Kingdom of Anselus.
It really became the remnants of the Future Hope Church to the extent that you’d say they should do self-replication in moderation.
The only difference is that Witga had experienced betrayal once, and Andrew was at the very top.
It’s not long since the pseudo-religion was destroyed.
No matter how well they use methods that worked before, it’s difficult to expand influence again.
The number of people the Miriga Order can mobilize is small. As its history is short, there are also few people deeply immersed in the religion.
The Miriga Order has soft ground, divided opinions, and seems like it could collapse immediately if not careful.
And there was someone who didn’t care about such things.
It was Witga.
He already had no way back. He was in his mid-thirties when his country was destroyed and he vowed revenge. The man who had been preparing for revenge in the Future Hope Church lost everything he had built up until then and became late forties.
So he pushed Andrew very strongly. If we attack the Kingdom of Kogni now, I’ll let you have that country.
We already have many superhumans, so it’s enough.
He revealed his desires frontally like this and confronted Andrew. If Witga had been a schemer instead of a general, he would have spoken more indirectly or endured here.
But he was a general unskilled in navigating the world.
Andrew instigated Wide to assassinate Witga.
Instigating Wide was simple. If Witga leads people out like this, it becomes impossible to attack the Kingdom of Anselus. We need more time to gather people, but he won’t listen no matter how much we try to stop him. It would have been better if you were the one leading the blessed ones.
He designated the enemy, gave the reason, and predicted the reward.
Of course, Witga didn’t die at once when ambushed. He fought back sufficiently.
But it was beyond his ability to defeat Wide. Isla fought alongside Witga, but in the end, Witga was killed.
And Isla escaped.
In fact, when Witga’s death was imminent, he tried to leave something behind, and Isla was in the position of that something.
She was lucky. Or very unlucky.
Witga overlapped Isla with his wife and child, and acted foolishly at the very end to save her. If he had fled without caring, he might have had a chance to survive.
As a result, Wide lost Isla.
But he didn’t care much. Because she had been a figure below him since a very long time ago. He just thought a mere soldier had escaped.
So Wide told Andrew that he had dealt with Witga, and Andrew gave Wide a reward.
Wide was happy to gain a high position, and Andrew was happy to remove a dangerous element and get a useful horse in hand.
No one cared about the fact that Isla had escaped.
There’s a really interesting point.
Where do you think Isla, who survived, headed?
She headed to none other than the Kingdom of Anselus. She decided to inform Tis about the Miriga Order, Wide, and Andrew for Witga’s revenge.
Isla fought with Wide and became physically and mentally devastated after Witga’s death. Perhaps because of that, she started talking to herself a lot, and I could hear her thoughts.
Isla met Tis, the hero of the Kingdom of Anselus, without dying pathetically in the middle. She met someone who could use the very important information she had.
Karma is going round and round.
I watch how these people will turn out while experimenting to enter the world again from the outside.
If I can go back to that world, it won’t be difficult to go to other worlds in the future.
Yes.
Now the experiment is nearing its end.
And it seems like it will end in success.
See you again, everyone.
