Chapter 31

Su Bingyao was currently most afraid that her son was just acting on impulse. After all, Fat Tiger was stronger than her son, and he was also experienced in fighting, whereas her son had never been in a real fight. If it really came down to it, he would surely be at a disadvantage.

"Without your dad, you're just trash."

"Hahaha, go die, Li Ziyang!"

Fat Tiger roared with laughter. Seeing that Li Ziyang really accepted the solo duel, he knew his plan had succeeded. Li Ziyang’s father had already stepped off the stage, which meant he was disqualified. Now all Fat Tiger had to do was deal with Li Ziyang. Not only would he win first place in the competition, but he would also reaffirm his dominance at school.

"Swish, swish!"

Two sounds of friction pierced the air.

To the surprise and confusion of the onlookers, the demonic hands on Li Ziyang’s back steadily caught the bone spikes thrown by the Mad Demon Porcupine.

Li Ziyang didn’t slow down. While running, the ghostly hands behind him twisted, reversing the tips of the bone spikes. With calm precision, he spat out:

"Take it back!"

"Whoosh, whoosh!"

Two sharp, piercing sounds tore through the air, forming two visible white streaks like lightning across the arena.

Fat Tiger never expected that the bone spikes he threw would be caught barehanded by Li Ziyang, and then hurled back with even greater force.

Terrified, he scrambled backward in panic, but his escape path had already been locked onto by Li Ziyang. There was no way he’d get away so easily.

"Clang, clang!"

One bone spike landed directly in front of Fat Tiger.

The other completely blocked his retreat.

Fat Tiger froze in place—stuck between retreat and advance. In that moment of hesitation, Li Ziyang lunged forward. The ghostly hand behind him opened wide, and the entire palm slammed down onto Fat Tiger’s fat, pig-like head.

"Boom!"

Fat Tiger’s boar head was smashed into the ground by the ghost hand, cracking the surface with several spiderweb-like fractures.

"Aah!"

Fat Tiger screamed in agony. His head was nearly deformed under the weight of the massive demonic hand. He tried to fight back, but as soon as he tried to get up, the terrifying hand smashed him into the ground again.

Two slams into the earth rattled his brain into a daze.

But he wasn’t entirely helpless. He shuddered and sent all the bone spikes on his body flying like a rain of arrows.

The next second, however, he realized—Li Ziyang was still standing right in front of him.

The two ghostly hands behind Li Ziyang had fully expanded like shields, blocking every single bone spike. The hands were incredibly sturdy, and the spikes clattered uselessly to the ground.

Fat Tiger stared at Li Ziyang in horror—as if he were seeing a ghost.

And when he saw those ghostly hands clenching into massive fists and aiming for his head, he squealed like a pig. All his arrogance disappeared. He crawled desperately to Li Ziyang's feet, headbutting the ground and begging for mercy, "I surrender, I surrender, Li Ziyang, I surrender!"

Fat Tiger, completely broken, transformed into a pitiful pig-headed mess—black and blue, utterly miserable.

Before the disbelieving crowd, the huge ghost hand behind Li Ziyang lifted Fat Tiger off the ground like a chick and held him in front of Li Ziyang.

"Still dare to bully others at school?"

"No, no, never again!" Fat Tiger trembled all over.

Li Ziyang’s eyes turned icy cold. He shouted, "My dad killed your dad—are you going to hold a grudge?"

Fat Tiger was so scared he shook his head violently. "No! Not at all! Even if you killed my mom too, I wouldn’t hold a grudge!"

"Hmph. If I want to kill you, there’s nothing you can do to stop me!"

Li Ziyang snorted coldly and tossed Fat Tiger aside like garbage.

Fat Tiger landed hard and hurt all over, but he didn’t even dare to groan. He quickly crawled over, his face filled with terror, "From now on, you’re my boss. I’ll listen to everything you say!"

Li Ziyang narrowed his eyes, staring at the boy who used to bully him countless times but was now groveling like a dog at his feet. He finally remembered what his father had said, "If you’re too kind, you’ll be bullied. An eye for an eye is the best way!"

He had done it. From now on, no one would ever bully him again. No difficulty would ever stop him.

"Get lost. If I ever hear you’re bullying someone again, I’ll make sure your fate is the same as your dad’s!"

The ghostly hands on his back retracted. Li Ziyang looked down at the pathetic Fat Tiger like he was nothing more than a worm.

"I’m leaving, I’m leaving!"

Fat Tiger didn’t dare raise his head. He rolled and crawled off the field, ignoring the eyes of everyone around him, fleeing the school like a frightened animal.

Li Ziyang stood on the stage, looking down at the parents and students below.

All the students who had once bullied him now trembled under his gaze.

Even the notorious bully Fat Tiger had been defeated—how could any of them dare stand up to Li Ziyang now?

Hiding in the crowd, Teacher Zhang realized the situation was dire and tried to slip away quietly.

However, Li Ran suddenly appeared behind her.

Teacher Zhang turned pale and stumbled backward in her high heels.

"Where is Teacher Zhang going?"

Su Bingyao blocked her way, her beautiful eyes filled with icy coldness.

"Bingyao, what are you doing?"

Teacher Zhang’s voice quivered under Su Bingyao’s gaze. She forced an awkward smile. "Bingyao, isn’t this just a misunderstanding between us?"

"Whether it’s a misunderstanding or not, you know best. Let me make this clear: if I ever hear that my child is being abused or mistreated at school again, you’ll be the first I deal with!"

Snake-like scales appeared on Su Bingyao’s face. Her eyes turned piercingly cold.

The temperature around them plummeted in an instant—like winter had descended.

Li Ran stared at Su Bingyao in shock.

Her eerie power had surged, rising from 100 to 200—completely surpassing Teacher Zhang’s level with incredible momentum. Even more shocking to Li Ran, Su Bingyao had ascended from B-rank to A-rank, completing a perfect evolution.

"It was only last night that I found out what kind of bullying my child faced at school. And you—my former best friend—not only failed to protect him, but also physically punished him and allowed others to bully him. What right do you have to be a teacher?"

"I will write a formal report and report everything that happened here!" Su Bingyao stared at Teacher Zhang with eyes as cold as frost.

"Bingyao, please! I was wrong, okay? Don’t report me!"

Hearing that, Teacher Zhang dropped to her knees in fear. If Su Bingyao exposed everything, the principal would be the first to come after her—she might not survive the night.

Her assistant, equally terrified, also knelt and begged Su Bingyao not to report them.

"Easy for you to say! You snake-hearted woman! Don’t think I didn’t know you were behind those threatening gifts sent to my home! Reporting you is already me being merciful!" Su Bingyao was seething with rage, and the temperature plummeted to the freezing point.

Li Ran stepped forward, his eyes gleaming coldly, "We’ve already said this much—I think it’s time to lay things bare."

He turned to Su Bingyao, "That text message was most likely orchestrated by her, using a student to send it. The goal was to destroy our family."

Teacher Zhang visibly trembled, her lips quivering, "I... I don’t know what you’re talking about... Wh-What message?"

When someone is overwhelmed by fear, they can’t hide their lies.

[Her expression has already betrayed her.]

The golden finger’s prompt appeared—just as Li Ran suspected.

A child pretending to be a mistress to destroy a family? It was absurd—clearly someone had put them up to it.

And the mastermind... was standing right in front of him.

Su Bingyao looked at Li Ran in shock, "You knew about the message?"

Of course, Li Ran wouldn’t reveal the golden finger’s role. He looked at Su Bingyao, "I’ve always known. But without hard evidence, no matter what I said, you wouldn’t have believed me."

Su Bingyao stared at her husband in disbelief. He had known all along. For so long, he had endured her suspicions, her accusations, her yelling, and even her demands for a divorce. Yet, he never gave up on the family. Never once complained. He simply kept giving—silently.

And she... had never understood him. Never asked what he truly wanted. Not once listened to his explanation.

Su Bingyao, oh Su Bingyao... you deeply hurt the one man who truly loved you.

"Waaah~!"

Overcome by guilt and emotion, Su Bingyao finally broke down and cried.

She had wrongly blamed her husband all along.

And to find out the prank message came from her once-best friend—it was too much to bear, too cruel to forgive.

If she had once felt a shred of mercy out of past friendship, that was now gone. Her eyes turned utterly cold. Tears rolled down her cheeks, turning into crystal ice drops, shattering into pieces upon hitting the ground.

Su Bingyao’s body erupted with cold energy, and in an instant, transformed into a massive Frost Serpent.

Before everyone’s shocked and horrified eyes, the Frost Serpent opened its maw and swallowed the still-lying Teacher Zhang whole.

She didn’t even have time to scream before being devoured.

The arena fell silent again!

Everyone was stunned and terrified.

Li Ran remained unfazed. This strange world had no rules. Even if it were torn apart, it would still somehow keep running.

He scanned the crowd with cold eyes, "Li Ziyang’s family takes first place in this parent-child activity. Anyone have a problem with that?"

No one dared meet his gaze. No one dared speak for the now-dead Teacher Zhang.

Students, parents, assistants—none dared to make a sound. The Li family had not only defeated the school tyrant, but also punished the venomous teacher. When Su Bingyao devoured Teacher Zhang, she had completely crushed their arrogance. Who would dare oppose them now?

"If no one objects, go get the reward." Li Ran glared at the assistant.

"I—I’m going now!" The assistant bolted toward the back in terror.

Su Bingyao returned to her human form and walked to Li Ran’s side, her face covered in tear-streaked remorse, "H-honey, I... I was wrong."

Li Ran was stunned, staring at the teary-eyed Su Bingyao.

At that moment, she was so heartbreakingly beautiful—delicate and full of regret.

He could no longer hold back. He pulled her into his arms and hugged her tightly.
