Chapter 20

"Despicable! Shameless! Vulgar!"

"Pft! You stalker! Following me all the way here! You're mental!" Lin Nan didn't hold back either. Although he usually couldn't win verbal fights with his dormmates, he could at least hold his own against this ignorant otherworlder.

Lina was taken aback, her eyes suddenly softening. She lowered her head and began to sob, whimpering quietly. Not wanting others to know about her situation, she could only glare at Lin Nan with teary, resentful eyes.

"Nan Nan, could she be your ex-girlfriend? Did you get her pregnant and then run away?" Tu Junhui whispered carefully in Lin Nan's ear.

"Do I look like that kind of scumbag to you?" Lin Nan furiously retorted.

"I didn't think so before..." Tu Junhui added mentally, but now it seemed more and more likely.

Seeing that people were starting to gather around, Lina knew she couldn't resolve the matter today. She could only wipe her tears and coldly snort, "You won't escape for long!"

After delivering this threat, she turned and left, leaving Lin Nan and Tu Junhui staring at each other in bewilderment.

"This person... has some mental issues?" Tu Junhui scratched his head. "Mentally ill?"

Lin Nan nodded in strong agreement: "Isn't she mentally ill? She even wanted to kill me."

Although he spoke lightly, Lin Nan knew that what she said was likely not empty threats. However, from this encounter, Lina didn't seem as powerful as she was in his memories.

Lilith's memories were usually too ancient, yet they were deeply rooted in the recesses of his brain. These memories had influenced Lin Nan's habits and posture to some extent, but in reality, if he didn't deliberately recall them, these memories wouldn't appear out of nowhere.

On the way back, after carefully recalling the grudges between Lilith and Lina, Lin Nan realized this was like some ridiculous fantasy soap opera.

Basically, although Lilith was called a witch in the other world, her status was actually like that of a demon lord in Japanese anime, while Lina was the hero known as the Holy Maiden.

The two had known each other since childhood but later took different paths. Lina tried her best to guide Lilith onto the right path, but Lilith chose to fall into darkness... roughly like the relationship between Sasuke and Naruto.

Over three hundred years, Lilith had died more than ten times, but not once at the hands of the Holy Maiden Lina. However, Lilith was quite talented and had developed a reincarnation technique similar to Orochimaru's... but during her last escape after being betrayed and attacked, she somehow ended up in Lin Nan for unknown reasons.

And presumably to retrieve Lilith's soul, Lina had also crossed dimensions to this world.

By the time Lin Nan had sorted through all this, he had already returned to the dormitory.

Tu Junhui was vividly describing what he had witnessed of the grudge between Lina and Lin Nan. Although he had only seen the final scene, he had imagined what happened "three years ago," portraying Lin Nan as a scumbag and Lina as a devoted girl.

Xiong Da had only met Lin Nan in university and knew nothing about this, listening with rapt attention. Chen Yao, who had been friends with Lin Nan much earlier, looked increasingly bewildered and confused as he listened.

"Lin Nan has never had any ambiguous relationships with any girls before," Chen Yao finally spoke up, unable to listen anymore.

Tu Junhui replied confidently: "Most of what I said was made up! Besides, even if you were friends with Nan Nan before, you couldn't possibly know everything."

Chen Yao thought carefully for a moment, then said with certainty: "Well, at least I know everything from high school. We lived at school, spent all our free time together, went to internet cafes after class, and usually slept at whoever's house was closer to the internet cafe at night."

"You know his size?"

"We've used the bathroom together." Chen Yao glared at him.

Tu Junhui wasn't particularly gossipy, but hearing this, he couldn't help being curious: "Are you two gay?"

"Get lost!"

Both of them cursed in anger.

Lin Nan returned to his seat indignantly, took out his phone, opened a video but couldn't focus. The more he thought about it, the angrier and more wronged he felt. He could only mutter impatiently, "What kind of mess is this?"

Not only was he held at knifepoint and inexplicably labeled as a witch and someone's sworn enemy, but his dormmate now thought he was once a scumbag.

What scumbag! After middle school, he had barely interacted with girls, let alone dated anyone. He had always been focused on gaming—what were women compared to games?

Looking down at the two small points visible through his thin T-shirt, he became even more frustrated.

Although magic had brought him some convenience, if he didn't have it, he would definitely have been happier during this time, instead of worrying every day about which part of him was becoming more feminine. Living in a dormitory, the consequence of becoming increasingly feminine was being mocked and ridiculed, and if someone with a hot temper couldn't control themselves...

Thinking about this, Lin Nan suddenly became anxious again.

"Hey, Chen Yao, are there any apartments near the school for rent?" he asked, looking up.

"The school doesn't allow students to rent outside," Xiong Da answered instead. "Only fourth-year students doing internships live off-campus. Otherwise, if you're not present during evening roll call, you'll definitely get disciplined."

So that meant two more years?

Lin Nan carefully recalled the girls from elementary and middle school, but realized helplessly that two years was enough time for a girl to develop into a blossoming young woman.

Exhausted both physically and mentally, he couldn't bear it anymore. Lin Nan didn't even shower, just wiped his sweat with a towel and climbed directly into bed.

During this period, his mental pressure had been immense. Having always been male, his body suddenly started to feminize, even his personality and posture were all beginning to trend toward femininity. Although he didn't talk about this pressure, it was constantly weighing on his nerves.

Chen Yao also got into bed, keenly sensing that something wasn't quite right with Lin Nan.

With one knee bent against the wall, he softly reassured, "If there's any problem, just tell me. We've been friends for so many years, don't keep it to yourself."

"I've always come to you first when I lost fights, when my grandfather passed away I drank with you, I've never been afraid of you laughing at me, and there's nothing you can't tell me either." He comforted Lin Nan, though his gaze wasn't directed at him, his voice soft enough for only Lin Nan to hear.

Lin Nan was naturally moved, but he didn't know how to express this matter, so he could only respond perfunctorily: "Let me think about it, I'll figure out how to tell you."

"That works."

He smiled bitterly, then turned to look at the two playing computer games below, his heart full of worry.

However, not long after, his face suddenly began to turn pale, his hands involuntarily clutching his lower abdomen, his brows tightly furrowed.

Not wanting others to see his weakness, he silently lay down on the bed, pulled the covers over himself, and curled up entirely underneath.

At first, there was only a slight stabbing pain in his stomach, but after lying down for a short while, the pain became increasingly intense, making his body tremble uncontrollably.

Chen Yao initially thought it was an earthquake, looking up at the ceiling fan in confusion. After careful observation for a while without noticing any movement in the fan, he glanced over at Lin Nan on the other end, not knowing what was happening.
