Chapter 13

There wasn't much to say about the classes.

The teachers at Lin Nan's university weren't as strict as his previous school's teachers. Students playing on phones or sleeping were everywhere, but the teachers only cared that the class remained quiet, methodically lecturing from the podium, basically ignoring the students.

Though in his first semester, he had encountered a conscientious English teacher, which predictably led to him failing that course.

After morning classes ended, the four dormmates gathered and strolled leisurely back toward their dorm.

Lin Nan was still thinking about finding a part-time job, his eyes scanning around during the walk, trying to spot shops recruiting servers.

"Should our dorm go out to eat together tonight?" Tu Junhui walked in front with Xiong Da, bringing up the suggestion again.

Last time, everyone had agreed to the dinner plan, but unfortunately the power went out in the dorm. The group ended up eating instant noodles and ham at an internet café, which barely counted as dining together.

"I'm fine with it, but I won't drink," Lin Nan warned in advance.

"I brought rum, you sure you won't try it?" Tu Junhui turned back with a smile. "Also milk liquor that I brought back from Mongolia over summer."

This guy really loved traveling, specifically budget traveling—the kind where you take slow trains, stay in hostels, and trek across grasslands on foot.

Lin Nan couldn't understand why his travels were so austere, yet he still managed to gain weight. Probably the "budget" part only applied to accommodation and transportation, not food.

"Rum..." This alcohol that often appeared in Western fantasy novels tempted Lin Nan. He carefully gestured with his thumb and index finger, "Can I have just this tiny bit? Just to taste?"

"Sure! If you don't like it, you can switch to cola."

Lin Nan wasn't in the habit of drinking, but he wasn't particularly against it either, since his father had been trying to get him to drink since elementary school.

Back at the dorm, Lin Nan had already ordered takeout and was lying idly at his desk playing with his phone.

Over the past few days, he'd noticed quite significant changes in himself.

He hadn't noticed much looking in the mirror daily, but from others' comments, he realized his face might really be becoming more feminine.

His hair hadn't been cut for a month either. Though not particularly long, his bangs now covered his eyebrows. Maybe the hair was part of why people found him feminine. He thought he should get a buzz cut or an extremely masculine hairstyle, rather than keeping it as it was.

"Nan Nan, use Bear's computer to play some games. Get a couple matches in at lunch, don't mess up when the competition comes," Chen Yao called out, turning his head from his seat.

Lin Nan looked toward Xiong Da's spot and found he had already climbed into bed to play with his phone.

Since that was the case, he naturally had no qualms about taking over Xiong Da's computer.

"Hey, Chen Yao, how would I look with a buzz cut?" Lin Nan asked casually while sitting at the computer.

"Are you crazy? Who still gets buzz cuts nowadays?" Chen Yao waited for Lin Nan to log in, idly crossing his legs as he turned back to continue, "I think you'd look better growing it out, add some facial hair, go for that artistic youth look."

"Yeah, then wear women's clothes again, how handsome would that be," Tu Junhui nodded emphatically in agreement. "Look at those legs of yours, they'd look better in stockings than most girls'."

This kind of teasing, which he'd heard before, didn't anger Lin Nan at all anymore.

Lin Nan knew he sometimes unconsciously made feminine gestures, but he hadn't expected that in just these few days, his dormmates would all start teasing him about it.

Last semester, he had been the dorm leader—using anyone's computer was just a matter of saying the word. But now it seemed these guys were planning a "revolution?”

Too lazy to argue with them, since these guys would only tease more enthusiastically if he did, Lin Nan logged into the game and quietly started playing duo queue with Chen Yao.

However, as usual, since Lilith's soul had possessed him, he hadn't won a single game.

Finally the game ended, his score stopping at 1/5, basically equivalent to his teammates playing 4v6. Fortunately, Lin Nan was used to it by now, even feeling proud that he'd fed fewer kills than before.

"Registration is coming up soon. If you keep playing like this, better not go," Chen Yao said, trying to keep his tone even.

Lin Nan just nodded, then said confidently: "Don't worry, I'll be better tomorrow."

"Alright then, I'll play with you tomorrow." Chen Yao was so tired of being dragged down that he didn't even want to play anymore, decisively climbing into bed for a nap.

Lin Nan sighed, logged off the game, and returned to his spot.

He said he'd be better tomorrow, but at what cost?

After inheriting Lilith's magic, Lin Nan had wanted to become a real-life "superman," fighting evil and promoting good, but the magic's restrictions made him abandon that idea. Later he discovered using magic might make his body more feminine, but now he couldn't care about that anymore.

The championship prize was a thousand yuan! As a student, he couldn't earn that much even delivering takeout for a month. As for other part-time jobs, because weekdays were busy with classes, he could only look for weekend work, but finding such jobs was harder than finding a girlfriend.

"Combat rhythm, improve reaction time, body coordination, synchronize hand and brain..." Lin Nan muttered to himself. This magic was actually meant for close combat, but it worked perfectly for gaming too.

"Unlock condition: kiss a male..."

"Once unlocked, permanently activated, basically like a passive skill in online games."

Actually, Lin Nan had discovered this magic earlier but had been hesitating because of the unlock condition. But after carefully searching through other magic in his mind, he found the unlock conditions were all quite similar.

They all wanted him to do various embarrassing things, gradually warping his personality into Lilith's shape.

Ordinary people might not fall for it, staying firm in their hearts no matter what they did. But the problem was that Lin Nan had most of Lilith's memories and even body habits, making it inevitable that he would become more and more like Lilith.

How utterly malicious!

Lin Nan was furious inside, but still couldn't resist the temptation of magic.

Besides, kissing a male... his gaze swept across the other two in the dorm, immediately making them feel a cold wind brush past, their bodies shuddering.

"That's strange, isn't the door closed? Where's this wind from?" Tu Junhui got goosebumps.

Xiong Da trembled under his blanket, "Lin Nan! Turn the AC up to 26 degrees!"

Only Chen Yao remained oblivious, as Lin Nan hadn't even considered targeting him.

It would probably be better to kiss a little boy, like one of the kids living in the faculty housing.

Lin Nan rubbed his chin, which had become incredibly smooth thanks to Lilith, wondering if kissing someone else's little boy would make him seem like a pervert.
