# Chapter 115: Uncle's Confusion
Lilith was a pitiful child.
Lin Nan had never thoroughly examined Lilith's memories, or rather, since they were someone else's memories, he couldn't sense the emotions contained within them.
Those memories were too vast. Although recalling them could achieve something like speed-reading a novel, trying to remember three hundred years of memories in detail was still a bit too much for Lin Nan.
He didn't sleep well that night. Even by morning he was still somewhat drowsy, yawning repeatedly as he got out of bed to wash up.
Originally, since it was the weekend, he could have slept until noon, but Wu Guodong had called him over to hang out. Although Lin Nan knew this time it would definitely be for a lecture, he still had to go since he'd already taken the money.
His roommates weren't up yet, so Lin Nan let himself go, humming songs while brushing his teeth and washing up, then taking a comfortable shower and changing clothes.
Checking the weather forecast, the next few days were supposed to be sunny, so Lin Nan simply took his comforter up to the dorm building's rooftop to air it out. He also sent Chen Yao a QQ message asking him to help bring the comforter back in the evening.
Just after hanging up the comforter and about to return to the dorm, he happened to run into Wu Guodong in the hallway.
"Uncle!"
Seeing him again, Wu Guodong almost didn't recognize Lin Nan.
The last time they met, although Lin Nan was feminine, his appearance was only more refined than before. But this time, Lin Nan's body showed almost no masculine characteristics whatsoever–at first glance you'd think he was just an ordinary girl.
And his voice was obviously much more delicate too. Previously it had been neutral, leaning male, but now it was more crisp–you couldn't tell at all this voice was coming from a male's mouth.
"You..." Wu Guodong suddenly felt a headache coming on. "It hasn't even been a month, how did you change so much?"
Last time, at most his figure was feminine and his face had a layer of "beauty filter," but this time, he even noticed that Lin Nan's eyes and eyebrows carried an alluring, captivating quality. And what he'd thought was just weight gain causing chest swelling had obviously expanded considerably more.
"Maybe I was just naturally good-looking?"
Seeing a familiar person, Lin Nan felt somewhat embarrassed about his changes and lowered his head, pushing open the dorm door: "Wait outside for two minutes, I'll bring a change of clothes."
"Alright."
He found a bag to pack a set of clothes, changed his shoes, and finally put on that sun protection jacket. Lin Nan looked in the mirror and only then felt somewhat more comfortable.
Only with the sun protection jacket's self-deception did Lin Nan dare to go out, otherwise he'd be too embarrassed to leave due to the obvious curves on his chest.
After all, his social gender was still male...
Sitting in Wu Guodong's car again, before getting in, Lin Nan clearly saw scratches on the car door.
He sat in the passenger seat, fastening his seatbelt while asking: "Was there an accident?"
"Two days after you left, I got scraped by an electric scooter. Wouldn't really call it an accident." Wu Guodong sighed in despair. "Can you not always worry about car crashes when you get in a car? It's unlucky."
"I'm just worried your driving skills are bad."
"Even if they're bad, it's not that easy to crash, okay?"
Since it was the weekend, even though it was rush hour, they didn't encounter traffic jams. Otherwise, when this city got congested it was enough to drive anyone crazy, which was why Wu Guodong lived near his company despite having a car, even though rent was a thousand yuan higher than other places.
Arriving at Wu Guodong's home again, Lin Nan eagerly ran to peek into his bedroom first. Sure enough, those body pillows had been put away in advance, and the bathroom had new toiletries prepared. The hair dryer bought online last time was also placed by the sink.
With Wu Guodong's short hair, he definitely didn't need a hair dryer–it was obviously put out specially.
A folded thin blanket sat on the sofa with a small pillow on top. Clearly uncle had made full preparations this time.
Wu Guodong sat on the sofa watching Lin Nan peek around everywhere, getting a massive headache.
He was indeed here to persuade Lin Nan as Lin Nan had guessed, sent by his mother, but he actually didn't understand the situation either. He only knew Lin Nan was sick and needed surgery, but for some reason Lin Nan was extremely resistant to surgery.
Moreover, Lin Nan seemed to have been yelled at by his father and probably hated his dad now.
But Wu Guodong didn't care about that point. He didn't think much of Lin Nan's father either–always fooling around outside, lending out the money he earned but never seeing it come back.
"Aren't you working overtime every day without rest?" After wandering around, Lin Nan walked to the TV cabinet, crouched down and turned on the gaming console.
"Just finished a small project recently, got two days off." Wu Guodong's complexion looked a bit pale with heavy dark circles, clearly having stayed up late for a long time.
Lin Nan sat beside him with the controller, muttering: "Then I'm definitely never becoming a programmer."
"Video editing, graphic design and such also require lots of overtime." Wu Guodong laughed and shook his head. "What job these days allows workers to make money without overtime? Without overtime you can barely support yourself. Only with overtime can you afford mortgage payments, car loans, and future wife and kids."
"CEO?"
"That comes with big responsibilities too. If something goes wrong, you can't escape."
Lin Nan had no ambition to be a leader. He felt his sense of responsibility was too low–he was the type afraid of taking blame. When playing with Wu Guodong as a child, if something went wrong, he was an expert at passing the buck. Even now he could blame any problems on Lilith.
Playing single-player games with a controller for the first time in a while, Lin Nan found action games were much more comfortable with a controller than mouse and keyboard. But he hadn't been playing long when Wu Guodong questioned him.
"Your mom wants you to take a semester off. What do you think?"
"Not much." Lin Nan stared at the screen. His heart jumped and he immediately asked alertly: "What did she tell you about taking time off for?"
Wu Guodong scratched his head: "I'm not really clear either. Didn't she say you need surgery? A benign tumor? Or did irregular eating mess up your stomach?"
"Good that you don't know." Only then did Lin Nan relax. Fortunately mother wasn't the big-mouth type, otherwise he really wouldn't have the face to see any relatives.
"I do think you should look into why you've become so... pretty in just a month or two."
Wu Guodong felt Lin Nan's changes were indeed too fast–fast enough to seem pathological.
If Lin Nan's face had become this girlish over a year or two, that would be fine. It could be attributed to skincare and styling. But this was less than a month...
"Is it that bad?"
"How is it not?" Lin Nan felt extremely guilty. "I haven't really changed much, right? Just slightly better skin?"
"You've changed too much. For example... your voice." Wu Guodong had wanted to mention his chest, but felt saying such things would make him seem like a pervert.
He examined Lin Nan carefully again, making Lin Nan feel uncomfortable all over as he pulled the blanket over his thighs.
It seemed like even his bone structure had become much more delicate?
