Chapter 110

TN: Too much league rahhhhh

Taking the cat for a checkup and vaccination didn't cost as much as Lin Nan had imagined—only around three hundred yuan. The examination showed Cola was perfectly normal, just slightly over-nourished and having some indigestion.

This could only be blamed on the cat cans and nutritional paste that Lin Yuan occasionally brought for Cola. After all, cat cans that cost as much as one of his meals seemed like luxury items to him—one can per week was already quite good.

He wasn't some cat slave. He felt there was really no need to feed cats better than humans ate. Compared to those in the countryside who ate leftover scraps, Cola was already enjoying pet treatment.

When he returned to the dorm with the cat, he found several unfamiliar classmates from his class in the room.

Lin Nan stood at the door for a moment, pretended not to see them, and walked into the dorm with the cat, sitting at his own spot.

These classmates were friends of Chen Yao and Tu Junhui, relationships limited to ordinary friendships of playing games together.

Lin Nan didn't really like these classmates. They were all sleazy, practically carbon copies of Dong An. Having experienced school bullying in middle school, he had always disliked this type of student.

At least he could never be friends with such people. Even Dong An hadn't been included in his friend category so far.

He sat quietly at his spot, searching for some recent anime on his computer while keeping his ears perked to listen to their conversation with Tu Junhui.

"Junhui, your team is playing in the finals next week, right? Remember to treat us to dinner when you make money."

"Exactly, exactly. When you have time, let's go out for a meal and some drinks. How long has it been since we got together?"

"Hey, that Lin Nan in your dorm isn't actually a girl, is he?"

Hearing this, Lin Nan immediately perked up.

"He's male." Tu Junhui leaned back in his chair, taking out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket to distribute. "Let's go smoke on the balcony later."

"Male? A ladyboy?!" The person looked amazed.

Lin Nan's face darkened. Tu Junhui had just opened the cigarette pack, paused, and looked up at him.

"I knew he looked like a girl."

A classmate beside him chimed in: "Ever heard the saying 'a man with feminine features is promiscuous even if not lewd'?"

After saying this, several people laughed loudly, but they didn't laugh for more than a few minutes before their smiles gradually froze.

Tu Junhui's face turned black as coal. He put away the opened cigarette pack and slowly stood up, his 200-pound massive frame looming over them like a demon king's shadow.

"If you're done talking shit, get the hell out! So fucking unlucky!" He frowned and cursed.

"Just kidding!"

"Kidding my ass!" Tu Junhui shoved him, pushing him backward until he stumbled into the ladder beside Lin Nan, scaring Lin Nan so much his hair stood on end.

"Fuck off!" Tu Junhui swore colorfully, rolling up his non-existent sleeves. "If you come to my dorm again, I'll beat you up every time I see you!"

The others were still somewhat unwilling, muttering and trying to explain: "Just joking around, we won't joke about it anymore."

"Get lost!" Chen Yao, sitting at his spot, suddenly spoke up. The others looked at him and saw Chen Yao had picked up the dumbbell Tu Junhui had left in the dorm from last semester.

Chen Yao probably hadn't spoken up earlier because he was afraid that if a conflict started, they'd be outnumbered, so he specifically went to the corner to find the barbell as intimidation.

The others were all skinny tall guys, with only one fat person about the same height as Lin Nan. Looking at the 200-pound, two-meter-tall Tu Junhui, then at Chen Yao who played basketball daily and was equally imposing, they left the dorm with dark faces and lowered heads. Before leaving, they didn't forget to slam the door and leave a parting shot: "Just you wait!"

"Wait for my ass, you stinking losers!" Tu Junhui cursed back without courtesy.

Lin Nan, startled again by the door slamming, finally came to his senses. He looked confusedly at Chen Yao, then at Tu Junhui, scratched his head, still not quite understanding what had happened.

How did they suddenly start arguing? Chen Yao was even ready to fight?

He watched as the huffing Tu Junhui took out cigarettes and went to the balcony, and Chen Yao put the dumbbell back in the corner. Only then did he vaguely realize the two might have been protecting him.

It was normal for Chen Yao to protect him—after all, he'd been doing this since middle school. But Tu Junhui... this guy usually teased him the most viciously, yet when others talked about him, he had the biggest reaction.

Lin Nan felt inexplicably happy, even happier than finding money.

It was getting late, and there were classes tomorrow. Tu Junhui smoked a cigarette, took a shower, and hurriedly climbed into bed in his underwear, covering himself up. Chen Yao yawned, planning to play one last game of Civilization VI before sleeping. Xiong Da had long since been lying in bed playing mobile games, with his "wife" King Arthur beside his pillow. (TN: Fate series reference.)

Lin Nan wasn't sleepy yet. These past two days, due to emotional issues, he'd been sleeping relatively early. Although today had also brought various unpleasantness, it was ultimately a somewhat satisfactory day.

"Hey, Lin Nan." Chen Yao, who was playing Civilization, suddenly looked up and asked, "Want to try live streaming?"

"Live streaming?" Lin Nan quickly shook his head. "The computer can't handle it, it'll definitely lag."

"Who said anything about gaming? Just chat with people, play some card games or something." Chen Yao used a tempting tone. "Trap live streaming has been really popular these past two years. I think you could compete with them even without beauty filters."

Lin Nan curled his lip: "Come on, don't I know what I look like?"

Although he had indeed become quite feminized now, and strictly speaking could be considered a proper girl, his original foundation was male. No matter how much magic had beautified him, he couldn't compare to those online streamers who wore makeup and used beauty filters.

He was already somewhat insecure. Occasionally seeing pictures of beautiful women, he would instinctively make comparisons. There was simply no comparison, okay? Though in reality, he rarely saw girls who looked much better than him.

"I think it's possible." Xiong Da suddenly raised his hand to speak. "I vote in favor of Lin Nan streaming."

"I don't think so! Nan Nan is our dorm flower! How can he go out showing his face and acting coquettish!" Tu Junhui continued righteously, "How about first practicing 'driving the train' in the dorm, and when we unanimously agree you have the potential to become a big streamer, then you can livestream?"

Driving the train?

Lin Nan paused, immediately went online to search, and found this was a song that started with sounds similar to train whistles, widely used by dance section streamers when dancing. As for dancing, naturally they wore as little as possible within regulations—the more provocative, the better.

"Then you can even do shadow clones! Dance a little and you’ll definitely earn millions per month!" Tu Junhui chuckled lewdly.

"Not interested at all!"

He rarely resisted the temptation of making money.

Mainly, he definitely wouldn't look as good as professional female streamers. If few people watched, it would be embarrassing; if many people watched, he'd be shy. No matter how he thought about it, he shouldn't touch this field.

Besides, female streamers as a profession didn't have a good reputation.
