Hello, this is Choco Sora. I apologize for the bad news amidst the already unstable release schedule.
To cut to the conclusion, this is the ending of the first part of “I Became a Murderer in the Academy,” and it will go on hiatus. The main reason is that I am scheduled to enlist in the military later this year.
I started serializing this story around March and continued it for over half a year. Looking back, we’ve come a long way, though I never expected the scale to grow this much. It’s likely thanks to the immense love from readers despite my lacking skills.
I conceptualized this work in two parts: the story in the Academy and the story that unfolds after leaving it. Over the past half-year, I’ve told all I wanted to in the Academy part.
Originally, I wanted to finish the entire story before enlisting, not split it between the two parts. But I apologize; this is entirely due to my lack of ability. The post-academy story and overall synopsis were conceptualized mid-serialization, so they are still incomplete. I’m even less confident I can tell that full story in time.
So, before continuing to the next part, I thought a break was necessary. Rather than stopping abruptly due to enlistment, I judged it better to announce early upon finishing the Academy arc.
Before posting this, I had many concerns, mostly worries and fears about writing the next part. Starting it would mean no turning back, so I couldn’t bring myself to write.
To the readers who loved and followed my work, I’m deeply sorry. I can’t say for certain when I can resume the next part… But I hear these days that one can write even in the military. Though specifics depend on my assignment, I cautiously predict it may not take as long as you think.
After a break and reorganization, I hope to see you all again as soon as possible. I am always sorry and thankful to all you readers.

And that’s the end. Ending us on such a cliffhanger… what an author. Hopefully, they keep writing. Anyway, hopefully I see you guys again~
