Su Yun grew anxious. She reached under the desk and lightly tugged Qin Xue’s waist.
“Ow—Xiaoyun, don’t pinch me~ The teacher’s holding a class meeting. Pay attention.” Qin Xue’s sweet voice echoed through the classroom, completely drowning out the counsellor’s previously stern tone.
In an instant, everyone’s eyes turned toward them again—including the counsellor’s.
“You two look really close, huh? Both are so pretty too. I’m jealous, haha.” The girl sitting beside them covered her mouth and chuckled.
……
“……” Su Yun was rendered speechless.
She could only pretend nothing had happened and focused her attention back on the counsellor.
“Next Friday, from 1:30 to 2:30 in the afternoon, we’ll be having the first English exam. Everyone, make sure your headphones are charged so you don’t miss the listening section.”
The counsellor continued discussing exam logistics, finally easing the awkward tension in the room.
Now Su Yun didn’t dare move around Qin Xue too much—because this girl truly had no fear of social death.
Even blamed her…
If you weren’t sniffing my hair, would I even need to hold you?
She glanced backward again, cautiously.
Still sniffing.
Unbelievable.
Su Yun sighed and gave up. Whatever. Let her sniff. It wasn’t like it was some scandalous thing anyway.
……
After that, Su Yun listened attentively to the counsellor’s announcements.
Next week, they had two exams—English and Advanced Math.
The following Monday was Electronics, Tuesday was Modern Literature, and after that came five days of C Programming and Embedded Development (all computer science-related).
And on top of all that, they had to turn in a pile of final papers and design projects.
In short, it was going to be a brutal week.
“Alright, everyone go home and review hard. Don’t fail.” After about half an hour, the class meeting finally came to an end.
In college, most class meetings lasted just long enough to snap a few photos. No one really did pre-exam pep talks.
Their counsellor was new, and apparently pretty responsible.
“Finally done. I was playing without Wi-Fi, and I nearly beat the whole game.” A guy in the back whispered to his friend, wearing an expression like he’d just eaten poop.
But his roommate quickly exposed him.
“You were just playing Dou Dizhu and got eliminated in two rounds, right? You were out in like ten minutes.”
The roommate’s roast was savage, his mocking tone only worsening Old Eight’s miserable expression.
“I’m telling you, these guys never save a single coin and just pressure everyone else... Complete garbage,” Old Eight grumbled, still mad about the match.
But his roommate was staring ahead, clearly distracted.
“Stop ogling, your eyes are glued to her. You like her that much?” Old Eight frowned.
“I can look, can’t I? You don’t like her?”
“I’ve got plenty of wives in my games.”
(...The roommate fell silent.)
……
As the counsellor left, people started trickling out, the door getting a bit crowded for a moment.
Within a minute, most of the class had emptied out.
Except for Su Yun.
She had just been reminded of the overwhelming exam schedule and was about to sneak home to study, but the hand on her waist wouldn’t let go.
“Sister Xue, what are you doing? Time to go home.” Su Yun turned calmly to speak, trying to suppress the irritation from earlier.
Qin Xue was smiling brightly now.
“Okay~ Then give me a kiss first, and I’ll go home.” She pressed her slender finger to her soft cheek.
“……” Su Yun nearly lost it.
“I can’t kiss you like this, it’s too awkward.”
“Oh, right.”
Just when Su Yun thought Qin Xue would give up, the next second, she felt herself being lifted.
“No—what are you doing?!”
Before she could resist, Su Yun was seated again—this time face-to-face with Qin Xue.
“There… now?”
“Mm, that works.”
Su Yun was still annoyed, but she was more eager to return and study, so she didn’t argue.
She leaned in to kiss her but suddenly noticed—there were still people in the back row.
“Wait, I—”
“Mmph!”
She had no time to react before Qin Xue kissed her first.
Their lips met, and Su Yun’s mind blanked completely.
Why is it always…
Mmph…
“Xiaoyun, you’re delicious~” Only after a long while did Qin Xue part their lips, clearly savoring the moment.
She gently wiped the corner of Su Yun’s mouth, then quietly licked her own finger clean.
……
Su Yun stared blankly at the boys in the back row who had witnessed everything, utterly powerless now.
They had seen it—her, kissing someone like that… and worse, it was her old dormmates: Zhang Deyi and Liu Fei!
Why the hell were they still here?!
Just as Su Yun turned to scold Qin Xue, the back door opened—and in came a familiar yet unwelcome figure.
“What a beautiful sight,” Shi Lezhi walked in with a cheerful smile, clearly entertained.
“Been a while. Do you still remember me?”
“?” Su Yun looked up in surprise, her guard instantly up.
“Nope. Don’t remember.”
“Oh, I was the student council president who helped coordinate with your club during the sports festival.” Shi Lezhi introduced himself with a grin.
But Su Yun wasn’t interested.
“Help? More like harassed Sister Xue.”
Sure enough, his gaze was glued to Qin Xue.
“I don’t know you. You’ve got the wrong person.” Qin Xue frowned. She had no intention of entertaining this so-called student council president.
“Um…”
Just as Shi Lezhi tried to step forward again, Zhang Deyi—who had been hesitating in the back—stepped in.
“Hey, she said she doesn’t know you. You’re seriously starting to look like a creep, President.”
“You came to see your girlfriend, Chen Tingting? She left a few minutes ago.” Zhang Deyi grabbed his wrist.
Today, Zhang Deyi was dressed far more formally than usual, wearing a suit like he was attending a gala or something.
“Oh, me and Chen Tingting don’t get along. You misunderstood.” Shi Lezhi slapped his hand away with a glare.
But Zhang Deyi stood his ground, glaring back just as fiercely.
And so, the two stared each other down with mutual hostility.
By now, Su Yun had climbed off of Qin Xue and was watching the scene unfold.
“Xiaoyun, let’s go.” Qin Xue leaned close again, tugging at her arm.
“Wait… I’m worried something might happen.” Su Yun’s heart wasn’t at ease.
Thankfully, Liu Fei and the other dormmates soon arrived. Seeing them, Shi Lezhi gave up and left without another word.
Su Yun stepped forward and thanked Zhang Deyi.
“Ah, no—no need to thank me. Really.” Zhang Deyi scratched his head shyly, eyes darting everywhere, not daring to meet hers directly.
“I’ll be going, then.”
And with that, he bolted.
Very soon, only she and Qin Xue remained in the classroom.
Su Yun felt… odd.
……
So this is what it’s like to be liked by a guy? Look how awkward Zhang Deyi was acting.
Also, what’s with the suit today?
“That guy was Xiaoyun’s old fan, right? Can’t believe he’s in your class. So scary.”
“Mm, is that a problem?”
“I feel like if I let my guard down even a little, someone’s gonna steal you away. So many people like you, Xiaoyun.” Qin Xue pouted as she poked Su Yun’s cheek.
“I don’t even like them you’re the campus belle. You’re the one who needs to be careful not to get stolen.”
Su Yun almost blurted out that she didn’t like boys. Luckily, she caught herself.
This woman… always talking about getting “stolen” like she’s protecting a child!
“I’ve got Xiaoyun to protect me~ I’m not scared.” Qin Xue pressed closer, her ample curves leaning against Su Yun.
“…… Fine, fine! Let’s just go home and study.”
……
About ten minutes later, Su Yun finally sat down in her chair at home.
Time to study.
Thump. Clatter—
Or so she thought—until the commotion behind her shattered her focus.
“Sister Xue, are you… mmph—” She turned her head, only to have something land on her face.
Black…
She pulled it off and stared.
A black stocking.
Sister Xue wasn’t messing around again, was she?
Su Yun was speechless. Just when she thought Qin Xue had finally gotten serious about studying, here she was again.
Sure, she looked amazing in those outfits, and Su Yun loved it—but still, priorities!
“Sister Xue, study!”
Su Yun shouted in frustration.
The girl squatting by the wardrobe stood up and walked toward her.
“Xiaoyun~ just wait a sec~”
“I wanted to show you something pretty. That way, you’ll be more motivated to study this afternoon~”
Qin Xue gave her a flirty wink that nearly made Su Yun pass out.
“I don’t want to—”
“Here, hold this for me. I’ll put it on in a bit.”
Qin Xue returned to the wardrobe, leaving Su Yun sitting there, stock-still.
……
So, are you going to study or not?
Su Yun sighed. Qin Xue was unusually energetic today, teasing her nonstop since morning.
She looked down at the stocking in her hand, lightly brushing it with her fingers.
Smooth. Soft.
……
Then she looked at Qin Xue again, imagining how she’d look wearing it—and how it’d feel to touch.
“……” She swallowed hard.
Ugh, seriously… Sister Xue…
It was normal for a pretty girl to like dressing up, right?
Fine. She’d take a quick look at lunch.
But in the afternoon, Qin Xue had to study properly.
