Chapter 155

A new day had arrived, and the sound of light rain echoed across the campus.

The rain had been falling non-stop since yesterday afternoon and continued into the early morning. Such weather was rare during winter, but it left several areas across campus with large puddles due to poor drainage.

At the moment, in a room that looked like it was meant for administrative use, a clothes-drying rod (just a stick, really) had been awkwardly installed beside a document-strewn desk. Next to it stood a shirtless young man, arms folded over his chest, legs trembling as he stood barefoot on the floor.

It was hard to imagine that this pitiful sight belonged to none other than the student council president—Shi Lezhi.

He’d been given a task by the school this morning.

It was already miserable enough trudging through rain with an umbrella, but Shi Lezhi had the added misfortune of slipping on a rock in one of those puddles and landing face-first on the ground during his walk back to the office.

If someone had been standing next to him then, he would’ve slapped them on the spot and cursed out that nagging superior of his.

“F*** that *&% leader.” Shi Lezhi sat shivering in the icy chair, soaked pants clinging to him, and cursed through chattering teeth.

“F***…”

He glared at the computer screen, teeth grinding in frustration.

Ten minutes later, after inputting the necessary information, Shi Lezhi finally completed his morning task.

But he didn’t leave right away—first, because his pants were still wet and he had no desire to go outside looking like a soggy wreck; second, because he’d recently heard something… news about Su Xiaoyun.

Sitting in front of the computer, he quickly pulled up the IoT (Internet of Things) class directory.

“Oh? So the guy wasn’t lying after all, huh.” A grin spread across his face as the name he’d been hunting for finally popped up on the screen.

The white-haired girl.

Shi Lezhi was certain this person had just “appeared” in the Class of 2022 IoT student list—because he had searched all day before and come up with nothing.

“IoT… why does that sound so familiar?”

He frowned, then realized—it was her class.

Su Yun. The “super lucky bastard” who’d managed to steal away a prized treasure.

“Damn it!” Just thinking about it sent him into a rage, mental images swirling of scenes that filled him with jealousy.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

He slammed his fists against the desk, the entire monitor shaking from the impact.

Fueled by anger, Shi Lezhi continued combing through the system—but this time, something odd caught his eye.

Su Yun and Su Xiaoyun were in the same class?

Wait, no… Su Yun had vanished.

It was like she had completely disappeared—no records, no data.

Coincidentally, Su Xiaoyun had “appeared” in the exact same class out of nowhere.

A chill crept up Shi Lezhi’s spine.

“…”

He stopped investigating, leaned back in his chair, and lazily sent a message to the informant who had provided him with the tip.

He was already exhausted this morning. He just wanted to rest.

Ding…

His phone rang.

“Brother, I just left the dorm~ Where are you? Didn’t you say you’d wait for me at the entrance?”

Shi Lezhi quickly picked up the call. A sweet, girlish voice came through.

“I just got off the podium. Had some arrangements to make. Wait for me.”

“Arrangements? That sounds busy. No worries, I’ll wait~”

Her voice was light and pure, the kind that immediately evoked a clean image in people’s minds.

She was the same girl Shi Lezhi had taken a liking to during the freshman fire drill. They hadn’t exchanged contacts at the time, but it didn’t take long for him to dig up her info.

Sweet voice, sweet face, and behavior that screamed model student—probably spent all her middle and high school years studying diligently, and only just started exploring romance now that she was in college.

Girls like that were easy to trick.

It had only taken Shi Lezhi a few days of enthusiastic attention to win her over.

All that remained was to seal the deal.

In a much better mood, he hung up and got up to manually hang his pants to dry.

But the drying process was too slow with just the fan. Eager to get moving on his “date,” he started shaking the pants more aggressively.

Piu—

Suddenly, the pants flew out of his hand.

The black underwear traced a perfect arc through the air...

…headed straight toward the open window.

“F***!”

He stuck his head out and looked down.

The underwear had landed on the top of a tall tree. No way it was coming down now.

The heavy downpour finally ceased around noon.

In a rented apartment near the university’s south gate, Su Yun lay resting on the bed.

“Hmm hmm~”

She was in a great mood. Thanks to her “magic,” her morning study session had been surprisingly efficient.

“Sister Xue, what do you want for lunch?” Su Yun looked up at the girl still diligently studying at the desk.

Long black hair flowed down her petite back like a waterfall. Su Yun stared at it for a moment longer than necessary.

So pretty. So very pretty.

“I’ll eat anything Xiaoyun makes. I like it all.” Qin Xue responded gently, never even turning her head.

“Mm.” Su Yun felt a little proud seeing her like that. Sister Xue was finally putting effort into her studies.

She didn’t know why, though.

Just last night, Sister Xue had said something about being allowed to play if she passed all her exams… and from then on, she had been working really hard.

So much motivation… just to play?

Su Yun didn’t get it, but she was feeling a little tired and wanted to lie down for ten minutes before cooking.

She had spent all morning memorizing modern Chinese history and English material.

That “magic” had made her memory razor-sharp.

Well, technically, it wasn’t magic. It was something she discovered after sucking Qin Xue’s blood in the morning—her mind became more focused, though she also felt a bit drained afterward.

On top of that, her physical abilities—strength, speed, everything—had improved significantly since first becoming a vampire.

It felt like… growing up.

Unfortunately, her height and chest had shown absolutely zero improvement.

Still, it was a good thing. A super power, even. And it was all thanks to Qin Xue, who let her drink blood every day.

Without her, Su Yun would’ve probably died shortly after being born.

She glanced over at Qin Xue again, at the way her black hair swayed with every movement.

“Ugh.” But after only a few seconds, Su Yun buried her face in the blanket.

Her cheeks were burning.

The reason was simple—aside from the hair, something else was swaying too.

Something from behind…

Qin Xue had both hands properly placed on the desk. With no tray or chair to cover her sides, the twin curves at her waist moved freely with every shift of her posture.

“I want a bite…”

No! Stop thinking nonsense!

…Sister Xue was studying right now.

Su Yun gripped the blanket tightly and stuffed her head deeper into it.

But the deeper she buried her face, the hotter it became.

Ugh!!

When she wasn’t studying, being alone with Qin Xue felt like pure torture. She was practically sweating.

So after lunch, she dragged Qin Xue out to someone else’s place.

No wait—study session. She brought her to a study session.

“Xiaoyun! It’s been so long! Can I get a hug?”

The moment they arrived, Su Yun was met with enthusiasm on par with Qin Xue’s.

She looked at the girl in front of her with a face full of disdain. Just as she was about to refuse, Qin Xue stepped in front of her.

“She’s mine.”

Qin Xue’s voice was cold, and her gaze was even colder—it silenced Zhou Yiyi on the spot.

“But…”

“But Xiaoyun and I are friends. Won’t this make her feel awkward?”

Zhou Yiyi cast a hopeful look at Su Yun.

“I refuse,” Su Yun replied calmly.

“What?!”

“Yiyi, stop fooling around. Take them upstairs.”

“…?”

A mature-looking woman appeared behind Zhou Yiyi, her shoulder-length hair giving off a graceful aura.

Su Yun blinked—she looked oddly familiar.

The reason she’d come here today was twofold: first, Zhou Yiyi’s house was close by. Second, Zhou Yiyi’s sister had recently moved in.

Zhou Yiyi had mentioned that her sister was in the same major as Su Yun, and Zhou Yiyi herself was in the same class as Qin Xue.

Perfect setup for a one-on-one tutoring session.

The older sister had agreed, so Su Yun came along.

Smack!

“Ow! Why’d you hit me?” Su Yun whimpered, holding her head.

She looked up at Qin Xue, confused and teary-eyed.

“Want me to have Zhou Yiyi’s sister hug you instead?” Qin Xue smiled sweetly at her.

“I think you’d like that.”

“…”

“…”

“No thanks.”
