Chapter 59

{Chapter 59} The Confession of Counterattack

Unable to use the simulator, Anna didn't sleep well last night.

After lying down on the chair in what was temporarily Louise's office, Anna was immediately enveloped by an unprecedented comfort and quickly fell into a deep sleep.

She didn't know how long she had slept, but in her slumber, Anna vaguely felt that she might have slept too long.

Moreover, it seemed like someone had been staring at her all along, was it just her imagination?

Suddenly opening her eyes, the first thing Anna saw was Louise sitting on a small chair, staring blankly at her face.

Anna's awakening didn't seem to startle Louise, who continued to gaze at her, making Anna feel somewhat embarrassed.

"Louise?"

"Ah... Senpai, you're awake?" Hearing Anna's voice, Louise seemed to snap out of a dream, quickly turning her head away, appearing somewhat guilty.

‘...Looking at you like this, I thought you were the one who just woke up.’

Anna didn't understand why Louise had such a strong reaction.

"How long have I been sleeping?"

"You can go eat in a while."

"Have I slept that long!?"

Anna came to work at eight in the morning, and now Louise was telling her she could go eat soon... Did she sleep through the entire morning?

Looking out the window, the sky was indeed dazzling, without a trace of white clouds.

"I slept for so long, why didn't you wake me up?"

Reluctantly getting up from the incredibly comfortable chair, Anna hurriedly picked up the armor placed aside and started putting it on.

"Because Anna Senpai was sleeping so soundly, I couldn't bear to wake you," Louise said matter-of-factly, leaving Anna with no retort.

"Then come help me put on the armor..."

After a flurry of activity, Anna finally got the armor on and instinctively looked for a mirror in the room.

Fortunately, the room, though small, was fully equipped. Except for the lack of a bed, it could almost serve as a living room, and there was a full-length mirror in one corner.

"...Did I put on lipstick this morning? I don't remember at all."

The obvious mismatch in color on her lips made Anna's expression freeze for a moment, then she looked at Louise.

Louise immediately averted her gaze, but the faint lipstick color on her lips matched the lip print on Anna's.

"Louise?"

"I just forgot to clean it off."

Louise didn't answer directly, but it confirmed to Anna what Louise had done while she was asleep.

"Really..."

Anna sighed, which made Louise even more uneasy.

Then, Anna walked straight towards Louise.

‘I think this is how it's done in romance novels…’

Louise, feeling guilty, tried to avoid Anna but found herself at the edge of the room with nowhere to hide.

Then, Louise watched as Anna placed a hand on her only possible escape route, completely cutting off her chance to flee.

"Se... Senpai?"

Though they weren't touching, Anna could hear Louise's heartbeat through the air...

Wait, no, that was her own heartbeat?

‘Oh no... What was I going to say?’

Despite the advantageous position, Anna couldn't get a word out, her mouth opening and closing without a sound.

Seeing Anna frozen like a block of wood, Louise grew anxious.

"Bang!"

In an instant, Anna, who had been on the offensive, was now on the defensive, Louise had pushed her to the ground.

Fortunately, Louise had considered that Anna was wearing armor, so falling on the stone floor wouldn't hurt much.

Louise also fell on top of Anna, facing her directly.

"Mm!"

Then, Louise repeated what she had done while Anna was asleep.

However, the clumsy assault didn't last long before Louise separated from Anna.

But after a series of attacks, a final bombshell was needed:

"Anna Senpai, I like you."

Such a straightforward confession reached Anna's already dizzy ears.

"Wha..." Anna's foggy brain struggled to process such "complex" information, nearly crashing.

"I said, Anna Senpai, I like you!"

"Mm... I heard." Anna let out a whimper. "Louise, could you get off me first..."

Both were wearing armor, and even though Louise was a lightweight girl, the combined weight of two suits of armor was quite heavy.

"Oh!" Realizing this, Louise quickly got up from Anna, suppressing the emotions that had just surged within her.

However, a hint of disappointment also arose in Louise's heart.

"...Um, Louise... no, Lou!"

Anna, also getting up from the ground, looked at Louise and used a nickname she had only used a few times before.

"?"

"I like you too."

Huh...?

Louise's lips parted slightly, but no sound came out. This unexpected response from Anna left Louise momentarily stunned.

"But!" Seizing the moment while Louise was still stunned, Anna decided to explain her thoughts in one go.

"But! I also like Helga!"

Fortunately, Anna hadn't had much interaction with Atala yet, otherwise it might have turned into "I like Lou, and everyone else."

"I hope you can understand this... Can you like... such a fickle me?"

After saying all this in one breath and taking a deep breath, Anna felt much better.

‘Even if I get stabbed to death like in that bloody ending, I'll accept it!’

"...Really... really!"

Then, with another "bang," Anna was pushed down again.

"Senpai, you fickle devil!"

Louise gently bit Anna's neck, like a vampire.

Though she didn't use much force, Anna still gasped in pain.

This position lasted for several seconds before Louise, pouting, lifted her head, revealing slightly reddened eyes.

"...I knew Senpai was too indecisive to make a choice."

Muttering this, Louise glared at Anna.

"Senpai hasn't confessed to that girl from the Bartham family, right?"

"Of course not... I wanted to respond to you first..."

"I think it's because I'm easier to deal with!"

Seeing Louise's pouting expression, Anna smiled wryly.

How are you easier to deal with? You're the one who gave me a stab in the abdomen and beheaded me in that bloody ending...

"As long as I take the lead, I've already won!"

"I must be the first to enjoy everything about Senpai!”
